What's this song?

This should be easy. I got up this morning, staggered into the kitchen to make coffee and remembered the plumber removed the hot water heater yesterday. Which also means he turned off the gas. Argh!

So I stagger out to the car. One of the reasons I love America is 7-11s when you need them.

I say hi to the neighbor taking off for work on his motorcycle, get in the car and turn on the radio. There’s this great song rocking out. I’ve heard it roughly a billion times and didn’t care that much but all of a sudden it was like, my favorite song.

I get to 7-11 and my neighbor’s there, so I called him over and asked, “what’s this song?” He poked his head in the window and in his really cute, and really strong midwestern accent he said “I think it’s Nine Inch Nails.”

So, it may be NIN. The refrain is “Bow down before the one you serve, you’re going to get what you deserve.” The other one is the male singer belting out “I’d rather die, than give you control!” Etc.

What’s the name of the song? I’ve got lots of little free song download coupons sitting around.

Head Like a Hole.

Head like a Hole by Nine Inch Nails

Head like a hole
Black as your soul
I’d rather die
Than give you control…

It’s a good song. I’m sort of Trent Reznor’d out lately, but that’s one song I won’t change the station for.

BTW, if you think Midwest accents are cute, you’ve obviously never talked to a guy from Boston or New York. faints

Thanks, fellow Dopes. I knew it would take all of 30 seconds.

Oh, I love those eastern accents too. A lot of people just don’t realize how cute they sound.
