So I happen to have stumbled across a URL to a site that seems to be mirroring the SDMB. What is this? Is it legit?
We’ve seen those before. I think it’s to show potential advertisers a thriving board, justifying higher rates.

They changed the name to Academic Pursuits so it’s not a testing site or anything legitimate.
It’s registered to someone (allegedly) in Texas.
Check out their “best topics” at the bottom. Clicked on a couple, and “eggcorn database” is a three post thread from 2006.
Well, at least it’s not the Chicken Board. That was weird.
