What's Up with the "It's Her" ads on Comedy Central?

Comedy central’s been showing ads recently featuring some “wacky” blonde woman. There was one where she drops and retrieves an earring in a coffin at a funeral, and another where she gets off on a kid’s “horsey” ride while waiting for her date to buy beer.

I find her kind of interesting and would like to see more of her than just 30 second bits. Does anyone know if these ads are for an upcoming show or series or just general promos for Comedy Central?

ive only seen the ad once and i think its an upcoming show

I can’t recall at the moment if there’s a date barely visible when they zoom in for the “It’s Her” screen. One of those you have to pause to read it. Or if I’m misremembering a date from the screen earlier in the commercial. I’ll try to record one tonight.

Somebody at the Comdey Central boards said she looks like Anke Engelke. A Canadian born comedienne who was part of a German comedy sketch show. Perhaps CC is giving her another sketch show in English.

Maybe it’s another pointless series of ads for the network like the very amusing “Get Real” ads promoting nonexistant TV reality shows.

The “It’s Her” ads I’ve seen were cute, so why not lure viewers in with cute little short films that are really just ads for the network.

I’d rather see those ads than that overplayed montage ad that includes Jon Stewart blurting out, “It’s about the music!” and the South Park clip of Timmy one more time.

OK. They just reran the funeral one and I snagged it. The date in the final sceen is Aug 29, 2003. Now this has been running since before that date. I had thought that the date was the premiere but since it’s now two days past I have to agree with widdershins. It’s just a CC commercial.

Too bad. I would have watched the sketch show.

And there goes the one on the horse. Same date. Same time.
How sloppy.

I had been thinking of posting the OP question for about a week now and had looked at Comedy Central’s website this weekend but couldn’t find any mention of “It’s her.”

She must get around. A funeral and date on the same day. I bet the other ad, which I only caught part of today and was what prompted me to make the OP, has the same date on the corner tag. That one she wakes up next to a homeless person on the sidewalk.

I was hoping that this woman was going to have a show, at least a one shot. Don’t know how these vignettes would play in a half hour show or more, but I can’t see it being any worse than the Man Show, with it’s new hosts or Crank Yankers.

Kind of sad that the commercials are getting better than some shows, ESPECIALLY those on Comedy Central.

I still think it’s a teaser ad of some sort for an upcoming show. But it’s probably not coming up for another month or so…
