What's your current earworm?

It just suddenly started playing in my head this morning after about the fourth time I got randomly juked on the freeway.

I Hate Everything About You by Ugly Kid Joe

Hmmm, hmmm, tum de dum…
Hate everything about your sister too…

Caramelldansen, at the moment.

There is no escape.

Disenchanted by My Chemical Romance, just because the opening guitar bit makes a good cycling cadence.

Gilbert O’Sullivan’s Nothing rhymed, thanks to the car radio on the way to work.

Why oh why?

“5 rebeccas” by The view.

I encourage you folk to look it up on Youtube.

JIZZ… IN… My PANTS

Sorry. Hopefully this crap tortures y’all as much as it does me.

The closing song of the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show - the one that goes “Hot Dog, Hot Dog, Hot Diggety Dog…”

I hate my brain.

Hey - me too! And I had never heard the song at all until we saw the SNL rerun two Saturdays ago, where Justin Timberlake cameo-ed. Funny skit, crappy song.

Then, my daughter just got a iPod Touch, with an external speaker, and plays it just to drive me crazy.

Damn it! Just by posting this, I have it back again!

For some weird, unknown reason…

“Johnny Angel” by Shelley Fabares. I wasn’t even born yet when it hit the charts.

The Humans Are Dead, Flight of the Conchords. I have been singing it for days now.

Hey, at least you’ve got a They Might Be Giants song going.

I’m stuck with “Just Can’t Wait To Be King” from The Lion King, and I completely blame my wife. She came downstairs this morning, muttering about “fricking stupid damn Lion King” (The Littlest Briston is on a Lion King kick lately, watching it several times per week). I immediately knew she had an earworm going, and foolishly asked her what song. Unfortunately, she told me.

“Everybody look left! Everybody look right! Everybody look at me, standing in the spotlight!”

No, you’re not. I enjoy it too. It’s so oddly melodramatic. I thought Richard Harris did it perfectly.

Part of my job involves installing software on Vista machines, which involves rebooting them multiple times.

The four-note theme that plays whenever Vista starts up are the same four notes as the beginning of “New York, New York” (“it’s a helluva town…”).

All.

Day.

Long.

The Ceti Eel Polka.

I have acquired a new earworm today. While working on something this morning, I ran across the first name Cecelia, and of course, being a child of the seventies…

At least I have always loved this song.

I have had the Old 97s song “Question” stuck in my head for about 4 days now. It’s a good song, but I really wish my mental jukebox would move onto something else. Especially since I mostly just get the beginning of the refrain and not the whole song.

Someday sombody’s gonna ask you
A question that you should say yes to

Then repeat.

Anyway, it is a good song. Take a listen:

YouTube

Or, you might better know it as:

If anyone has any idea what the hell this is, let me know.

She Wouldn’t Be Gone, by Blake Shelton

Oh yeah, that’s a huge one. I have the whole album now (the original, slower versions are much better). Här E Jag, Diskotek, and Doktorn are also earworms.

Little Ghost by the White Stripes.
