Pirate cookies are a brand made by Mr. Christie, consisting of a layer of peanut butter in two thin oatmeal sandwich layers. Surprisingly, they taste quite different from your standard oatmeal and/or peanut butter cookies. Available in Canada, never seen them in the U.S., not available in England.
arrrrghhh…
Whipped shortbread.
An orgasm in cookie form.
I’ll second that Motorgirl!
**Double milk chocolate Tim Tams ** … drool … consumed via an expresso coffee shot gun … bliss!
BTW, why the hell can’t you get them in the states? Arnott’s were bought out by Campbells several years ago … not that I’m complaining much.
mmmmmmmmm… Trader Joe’s “Sutter’s” Peanut Butter and Choclate Chip… it seems like you can’t eat more than one without exploding.
I’d also have to mention Thin Mints, but I truly don’t understand the nature of my addiction to these yet.
- Mrs. Chalupa’s homemade chocolate chip cookies…unfreakintouchable.
- Oreos, soaked to the bone with milk.
- Pepperidge Farm Milanos.
Cookies are my downfall. There are so many I like:
[li]Pepperidge Farms Brussels[/li][li]Snickerdoodles[/li][li]Oreos (I’'ve been known to finish off half a package with just one glass of milk)[/li][li]Nestlé Oatmeal Chocolate Chip slice and bake[/li][li]Chippers from Paradise Bakery[/li][li]The butterscotch cookies made by Cheryl & Co. served by US Airways[/li]
To name a few.
Hmmm well I’m all about cooking and baking so it’s definately got to be homemade. But ummm I like my homemade Chocolate Chip/Peanut Butter Chunk cookies. OH OH OH I cannot forget my no bake cookies those things WOW are they special. And finally the chocolate chip cookies I bake whenever I have the time.
Never been to a Long John Silver seafood restaurant? They seem to specialize in spackle.
White chocolate chip Macadamia nut cookies are to die for, next are girl scout thin mints and chewy Chips Ahoy

Tollhouse Chocolate Chip Cookies!
And a tall glass of milk.
Drool!
[sup]'Scuse me while I go get a napkin.[/sup]
~~Baloo
Thin Mints
Mrs. Field’s semisweet chocolate chip
Milanos
Oreos, but those are far below the others, and only if they are fresh and crunchy. Stale oreos suck!
My husband is Australian and in order to satify his Tim Tam fix, we order online from the Australian Catalogue Company. You can get all sorts of different Australian cookies (sorry, biscuits) and candy that aren’t normally sold in the U.S. I think they’re out of Georgia (they used to be in Raleigh when we lived there, so we could go right down to their office and pick stuff up.)
Am I allowed to put a link? I don’t in any way profit from this, but if a mod wants to remove it, I understand.
Go here for tim tams.
My favorite cookie: the ones you end up with when you follow the recipe for the Nordstrom/Mrs. Field UL - they’re great…Oatmeal/Chocolate Chip/Pecan.
In the storebought category, it would have to be Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Pecan or Lorna Doones.
Did anyone make the “muppetsoup@sextracker.txt” joke yet?
Homemade oatmeal/pecan/chocolate chip/coconut. They’re like pemmican bars, but tastier.
Also, homemade peanut butter cookies.
Storebought - P. Farm Sausalito (choc chip/macadamia) and the choc chip pecan ones.
Well, I resisted saying something like “Halle Berry” and just went on… But in case jr8 comes in here, I guess, well… My favorite biscuits/cookies are things like gingerbread (with cloves!), and ummm… well, that’ll do, I guess.
::wanders off::
Homemade – oatmeal chocolate chip, with extra oatmeal. If you cut down a bit on the butter, they rise a little more and stay chewy longer.
Storebought – Those Pepperidge Farm ones… ah, it’s been so long since I’ve had them… they’re oval shaped, covered with dark chocolate on one side, and sprinkled with chopped nuts. Geneva? I remember Brussels – they were my former favourite. The crispy bubbly sandwich-type ones with the chocolate inbetween, right? Chessman – those are the thin crispy buttery ones? And Milanos* – they’re the oval-shaped sandwich-type ones with chocolate inbetween? SIGH. Digestive biscuits just don’t compare.
[sup]*Also the name of the BEST pizza place in Baltimore, of which I am also deprived.[/sup]
/Homer Simpson voice/Hmmm… Girl Scout Samaos. Whenever a friend’s daughter sells them, I order 10 boxes. And I live alone, and I don’t share them.
I also love those little sugar covered pretzel-shaped cookies that come in the Danish Butter Cookie round tins.
Mrs Fields. Any kind. Right now if I were to find a Mrs Fields shop I would probably eat so many cookies I would explode and they would still be picking little ruadh bits off the walls five years from now.
Yes, there are some things I really miss about America…
