I was just reading this thread about the 60s “Batman” TV show, and it made me think about all the times Robin said “Holy (insert word or phrase here), Batman!” There must have been a bunch of them during the show’s run.
What’s your favorite one? Please limit yourself to ones that Burt Ward actually said, rather than ones you WISH he’d said.
Here’s my favorite, for the sheer absurdity of it:
“Holy priceless collection of Etruscan snoods, Batman!”
No specific examples come to mind, but can we also include the 1977 animated “The New Adventures of Batman”, in which Ward and Adam West reprise their roles?
You left out a piece. Catwoman explains how the reflector that is about to fry the dynamic duo is coated in margerine. To which Robin exclaims “Holy Oleo !”
Not necessarily my favorite, but a memoral one nonetheless was when Batman saved Catwoman and they had a tender moment. As the two walked away, Robin yelled “Holy mush.”
I doubt they ever risked offending a religion in the show, but I’ve fantasized about the Dynamic Duo investigating thefts from the Vatican, and Robin finding a stolen statue of the Virgin:
I still have, somewhere (I think it’s in the rag box now) an ancient T-shirt from the 80’s with Robin on it with the one caption he never said – “Holy shit, Batman!”.
My fake one is a scenerio where the Dynamic Duo are chasing the Joker through a warehouse, and he escapes by dumping a crateful of condoms on them- leading to the remark “Holy prophylactic Batman!”
