I like Courtlands and my BF likes Lodi apples.
Lodi apples are all tart no sweet. Kind of like the lemon of the apple world.

Arkansas Blacks. Almost impossible to find any more.
Anything BUT Red Delicious. It doesnt help that even in this part of the country, most of the Reds come from Washington state. I may be biased since my grandfather was a New York apple farmer, but NYS apples are the best. Again, anything but Red Delicious.
My favorite is the Asian Apple Pear. My second favorite is all and anything else.
I simply love apples.
