“Summertime Rolls”
Jane’s Addiction
U2, new year’s day and Something I can never have by NIN
I met my first girlfriend at a Nine inch nails concert on new years eve.
“First Love” song: Cheap Trick - The Flame
First “Love Song”: Annie Lennox - Primative
Actually, I almost kissed Orange Skinner earlier in the evening when we were listening to Two Of Us and were making some sort of food, but her brother came downstairs.
Bangles - eternal flame.
Well the first song I ever got kissed to was Bonnie Tyler - I really need you tonight (I keep thinking the title is something else, but that’s the line I remember). Of course the guy never called…
My current bf loves that song, I don’t, mostly cos of the memories.

“A Summer Song” - Chad & Jeremy.
The most perfect and bittersweet “summer love” song ever.
“It’s Been a While” by Staind.
Note: if you are going to choose a song for a relationship that’s doomed to fail, pick one with less airplay
.
“I’ve Got You” by Marc Anthony, at the age of 36.
What can I say – I was a late bloomer…
Barry
Tickster - that’s Total Eclipse of the heart (turn around) by Bonnie Tyler.
“Be My Baby” by Andy Kim.
It was popular at the time I had my first crush on a girl. Whenever I hear the instrumental bridge, which sounds like a skating arena organ, I remember the Grade 8 outing to the skating arena where I first watched her, overcome with lovesickness, and how I was terrified to speak to her because she was so perfect.
“Misty” by Johnny Mathis. About ten years before Jessica Walter would show up, happily.
“Crazy for You” by Madonna - ah, early high school!
“Can’t Fight This Feeling” by REO Speedwagon. <cringe>
I can’t flip the channel fast enough when it comes on the radio now.

Just kidding!
I first fell in love to an instrumental called Melody For An Unkown Girl by a group called Paul Revere and The Raiders back in the 60’s. It was played by the lead singer, Mark Lindsay on his saxophone, and even though it was an instrumental, it did have a few words, and here they are:
(Lynn, this is for you)
“Sometimes it’s hard to say the right words. Even when you know them in your heart. Some songs have words, but for this one, written for a girl I don’t even know yet…”
God, we loved that song!
