I figured her supposed Twitter post was fake, but I didn’t know there were conspiracy theories (real or humorous)! This is good reading!
Here goes: I think the surgery was real, but she (or her handlers) have taken it as an opportunity to try to step away from the goings-on at the White House. You could see the beginnings of it with the half-hearted “Be Best”.
And I would not blame her one whit if that were so.
I would believe that the ailment was real as described but for full recovery she needs to be away from the frontline stress for a while. It is not an environment conducive to healing. Perfectly legitimate explanation and no more would be owed to public curiosity.
Well, yes, except the fact that they put out a dishonest tweet about it. The one she supposedly sent was plainly not from her. What’s behind that, that they would need to lie?
Yeah, before the fake tweet I just assumed she had surgery and was recovering like they said. Even Trump saying she was at the window when she wasn’t I didn’t think too much about. But the fake tweet does have me wondering. It could all be nothing and they’ve made seem like something because everyone in the White House is very stupid, but I don’t know.
I’ll go big- she was alone with Mike Pence. Nature took its course and now she’s got a future theocrat in the oven. She’s been dividing her time between her obstetrician, her lawyer, and her eye makeup team. No time for anything else.
Do you think Trump actually bought a card himself, or bothered to sign it? I’m guessing it was some low level flunky who did both. “What’s her name again?”
And holy crap, I had no idea she was 48. Isn’t that well past the Trump Wife Expiration Date?
Is he really germophobic? She could have gotten, say, a UTI that could have been treated at home but he didn’t want to have a sick person in the house. She can come back when he stops shuddering.
Put me in the “she’s depressed, stressed, and/or fed up” camp. My guess is that the original medical issue was more or less as reported, but she’s not springing back from the recuperation process particularly well; she’d rather not have to make the considerable effort required to lead her life in the public eye right now.
I don’t think highly of Melania Trump; anyone who would marry Donnie in the first place clearly has messed up values. But I almost - not quite, but almost - feel sorry for her. I can’t blame her if she totally hates her life right now.
Supposedly they had a settlement all worked out and planned to divorce after Trump lost the election.
Agreed.
If the Secret Service has an actual protocol for domestic violence involving in protectees presumably it would be to simply physically separate the parties, but what happens if one of those protectees is the President of the United States and s/he orders them not to intervene?
