What's your morning beverage?

A pot of coffee thick enough to melt a spoon were you insane enough to pollute the beverage with anything.

My kids know I’m up when they hear the coffee grinder. Before that, even if they hear me stumbling about, they don’t dare approach.

When I’m out in the evening, I enjoy an Irish coffee on a rare occasion, but I don’t really connect it with the ambrosia that is Morning Coffee.

I usually just drink the skim milk out of my cereal bowl. If I have something else, though, it’s tea. I have a wide variety, so I’ll pick whatever I’m in the mood for. Last time I made tea, it was Twinings Darjeeling. Usually it’s a black tea in the morning - for some reason, herbal/white teas seem better suited to later in the day. I have a giant mug especially for drinking tea. It’s the size of around 2 regular mugs, but 1 tea bag is about perfect for it. Sometimes I’ll add a splash of milk, but I usually just drink it straight.

I can’t believe I’m the first to say this—
A glass of milk. (I did see milk from the cereal bowl- but I don’t count it as it gets the flavor of the cereal as well. Although- if I have cereal- I will also drink this)

I will sometimes make a pot of coffee, but it is never before I’ve had a glass or two of milk.

Coffee, black and bitter.

The way I like my women

Diet Coke.

Used to have a major addiction to coffee - pots and pots of the German strong stuff…and then stopped drinking coffee cold turkey, for no particular reason. Seriously cannot remember why I stopped drinking coffee, but just switched to Diet Coke instead.

Regular Coke.

I am a hypocrite. Just a day after stating this, I found myself getting a soda in the morning because I was falling asleep at work. :smack: So, 99% of the time I don’t need caffiene, but I suppose I shouldn’t have implied that I never do.

Diet Coke. I have allergies so it buuuuurns. In a good way. Ah.

Double soy latte with sugar. Triple, if it’s a bad day.

Or Navy coffee with milk and sugar. Breakfast of champions.

Yep, water it is.

Coffee. Strong, black and bitter.

Water. That’s what makes me feel human in the morning.
Later on, I enjoy green tea or juice or other beverages, but water is “the real thing” for me.

Caffeine doesn’t seem to affect me and I don’t like coffee anyway. I nearly always have chocolate milk with breakfast.

A tall glass of weak tea, loose leaf, so I have to drink it through my teeth, with a big swig of skimmed milk.

A second tall glass of half water, half OJ, to get my vitamine tablets past my gullet. Pure OJ is too sour.

Coffee. If I don’t grnd my own beans, then I use “La Llave” espresso blend. Best ground coffee in a can. I drink it with milk, no sugar.

Water, always.

Nescafe with a pinch of salt (makes it a little more tolerable), a dash of cinnamon and a lot of (non-melanine contaminated) powdered milk.

I hate China in the AM. I miss my coffee.

Hot tea with Sweet n Low is my first beverage in the morning and my last beverage at night.

Two cups of coffee with a little milk.

Morning beverage has been tea for… oh… over 35 years

Prefer loose leaf, but will use bags.

Used to prefer English Breakfast, Jasmine, or Earl Grey. Now that I’m poor, it’s more frequently Lipton’s or what’s on sale at Aldi, which can be surprisingly good.
