What's your SAT Score?

720 Math, 790 Verbal, 1510 composite score. My graduating class was the last year the SAT was out of 1600.

1968 763/800 verbal math
800 in the Chemistry, Math Level 2 and American History Achievement Tests.

i got 1200/1600, and didn’t answer the questions that required me to read 4 or 5 paragraphs.

this was about 9 or 10 years ago

1510 on my second sitting. Then I tutored SAT prep to high school kids when I was in college.

It may be relevant that in 1996, the scoring system was adjusted in order to bring the average score back up to 1000 (still on the 1600 point scale at the time). I’ve linked to a site with a conversion chart below. The math score was generally raised about 10-20 points and the verbal score 70-80 points. So low-1500s before 1996 would have earned a “perfect” 1600 afterwards.

Pre-to-post 1996 adjustment scale

Took it just once in 1998… 620 Math/620 Verbal = 1240

If I had been motivated enough to take it again or studied after my 1250 PSAT, I probably could have done better. Meh. I’m happy.

Hmm I wish I had had a test like that (UK or Netherlands). Just because being able to say you scored “a thousand” or higher sounds very satisfying…

Well, I averaged 8/10 in my finals, which is about as high as you can get in the Netherlands. And 6/7 in my IB exams, which is ok. And I did both at the same time. So there. Harrumpf, all you “one thousand billion squillion” scorers.

I didn’t; I took the ACT because I lived in Michigan and wanted to attend a Michigan university.

All these people over 1400! I took it a looong time ago. The numbers I recall are 694 and 619 for just over 1300. I also took three subject tests the same day (common in that era when we took it only once and there were no PSATs) and got 722 (math), 722 (chemistry) and 58? (composition, don’t quite recall the third digit).

1600, in 1963.

1450 in 1983, when I was 15 and in Pakistan. No test prep. Just the few practice questions in the enrollment booklet. I applied to two schools in the US, rejected by Princeton, accepted by UT-Austin. Parents decided it would no be a good idea to send a very bookish 16 year old to the USA alone. Looking back, I don’t think they could have managed it financially either.

My grades and scores were the only thing I had to be proud of, so they stuck.

1490: 800 Verbal, 690 Math. 1969.

Tell me about it. 99th percentile (and usually the high end of that) on PSAT, SAT, three of the SATII tests, LSAT, and recently the GMAT. Doesn’t actually help too much in Real Life.

Anyways, 1540 (790 math, 750 verbal) on the SAT in fall of my junior year of HS, 2000.

4 years earlier, 20 points lower.

Never too it, but 29 and then 30 on my ACT. My math score was 10 points lower than every other category.

Me no likey math.

I took it in 2006 and got a 1990 out of 2400. 740 reading, 570 math, 680 writing. I don’t have my scores memorized. They’re still saved on the college board’s website.

Took it in 1979. 1370. Other than a form letter of congratulation from a state legislator, it gained me nothing.

  1. That was as high as it went in 1964.

I refused to take it. Hated that school and everyone in it.

Seriously? No option for people who grew up in ACT states?

Bah.
