WHAY???? I'm the first one up MMP?

Flo’s trapeze was kind of cool.

Hump day is here! Although I won’t be truly happy until Firday at 4pm CST. I have asparagus in the fridge which I will roast tonight and put a slice of prosciutto on top. YUM. Although this means the wee will smell like asparagus tonight…

I will not become a creature of habit, you celerous web spinner.
:dubious:

I once saw someone write on Twitter, “Only one piece of asparagus and you can still tell.”

Went to the store and the coffee place this morning. Lucky me, they actually had French vanilla coffee this morning.

And now back to the music arrangements.

Oddly appropriate combination of user name and subject matter… :stuck_out_tongue:

Just spent 38 minutes on the phone with my mom helping her navigate a website. She’s planning another mega cruise for the end of this year - Baltic, Scandinavia, British Isles, Azores, ending in Tampa. One of her AARP friends wants to go with her. Sounds like a great trip - 34 days plus the flight to Copenhagen and the flight from Tampa.

Dishes from last night are (mostly) done - I just remembered that I didn’t clean the George Foreman. But I’ll get that, then make some 'nanner bread.

Well, up, dinner warming and its almost time to make the donuts. Or sort packages. Whichever of the two I’m being paid for. I’ve got a slight head cold from being rained on Saturday and I’m not feeling my sharpest.

Oh sure. You say that now, Mr “What-Does-Such-and-Such-Mean”

Though, that doesn’t mean we can’t be, Flotrap

…& if you don’t like it, you can kiss my Southern breakfast food!

Two loaves and 2 dozen muffins from one recipe of banana sour cream bread. It’s actually supposed to make 4 loaves, but I just have 2 loaf pans, so the rest became muffies. We shall see how they bake up. The recipe calls for a 300° oven, which seems low to me, but better underdone than burned, right? I can always give it more time.

My mixer bowl was barely big enough, and it was a messy evolution as I added the last cup of flour. I probably should have mixed it by hand. But the dishes are soaking and the counter has been wiped down, and the mixer is put away. Break time!!

swampy. I have to be in the mood for pickled veggies (pickled cauliflower is a favorite), but I would eat asparagus almost any way you fixed it. One of the best is steamed, atop cornbread and sauced with hollandaise though.

It’s colder than a Wiccan’s mammories in a metal foundation garment here and we’re supposed to get a couple of inches of the white stuff tonight. Will this winter never die?

So there weren’t enough people for the training, so it was cancelled. But there was cake. And I got paid. I got paid to eat cake!

One time there was cake at work and I ate about one third of the entire cake. :o

I wish I got paid to eat cake.
I don’t even get cake.
:frowning:

Howdy Y’all! I survived the north forty. Even got back before the rain started big time. Right now ‘tis pourin’ rain and thunderin’. Better that than the ice and/or wintry mix happenin’ elsewhere in Jawja. Really heave rain! ‘Twill be a good evenin’ to be in da cave munchin’ down on nummy chikin and steak fajitas. YUM!

I am off work again-MTW for snow and ice. Not very much. Perhaps it prevented busing the students across the state, as we are expected to show up if there are students on campus.

UPS destroyed a fifty pound box of aquarium salt on the 17th. The replacement arrived today with only two out of four bags burst open. I don’t know if Doctors Foster and Smith eat the cost and postage, or UPS.

I WANT CAKE. I suppose I’ll have to buy some :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy hump day, all! I can’t believe I’ve gotten to Wednesday before looking in here this week.I am usually around, lurking, but not this week.

I’ve been through so many blizzards, it’s hard to pick out any one that stands out. LOL The really bad ones are often when we lose power. You don’t realize how much you rely on electricity until you don’t have it! And if your heat is electric, you’re really uncomfortable. :frowning: One that does stand out was in January 1996, I think; we went in to work, they sent us home at noon, and I waited and waited for a bus that never came. I was able to hitch a ride to the nearest shopping center, which we lived directly behind at the time. No power outage, but boy howdy it was cold out, and the snow was deep.

We are getting the cold weather this week, but no snow here, thus far. We might get some tonight into tomorrow. I read online that Leonard Nimoy is hospitalized. I pray he’ll come through okay. LLAP, Leonard!

You get grits; that’s like cake.

No, it’s not. Nothing at all like cake. Cake is much better. I was just saying that to make you feel better.
