When Come Back Bring PII A Mobile MMP

Hey - we went to Bob’s and Lowe’s too - I didn’t see you there! We returned 5 boxes of flooring and 2 packages of underlayment for a credit of almost $200, which ain’t bad.

Our boat has been moved. In fact, it was moved before we got to the marina. Apparently there was a personality conflict so they swapped our boat with another guy. Whoever tied up our boat did a really crappy job of it, plus they only moved one of our power cords, and it appears someone swiped our boat hook. grrrrrr. Anyway, it’s now safely in its temporary home awaiting a new bow pulpit. We should get it back next weekend.

Then we’re going to have it hauled out and set on the hard for the winter. I’m hoping during that time we can replace the portlights and maybe the smaller of the overhead hatches. And if all goes well, next summer, we can actually spend some time out on the water.

I’ve got a load of clothes in the washer now. We put the base molding in the space where the fridge goes, then moved the fridge downstairs. It’s plugged in and running - wanna make sure it gets cold. We’ve got to buy the tubing to connect the icemaker to the water supply.

For now, we’re doing nothing. FCD’s knees are really hurting him. I’m hoping when he feels a little better, we can rip a 2X4 for spacers so I can install the last little piece of drywall for my studio. I can do that myself.

Daughter called this morning - she sounds horrible, but she says she feels fine. Just a raggedy voice still. They’re going to a wedding at 3 today, then driving home. Over night. Yeah, I’m thrilled about that.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I’ve done it, too. Doesn’t matter - this is MY BABY we’re talking about… With luck, they’ll be home by 10 or so. I hope. Stoopit kids.

**tarra **- such a studious young man! He looks so serious. I thought all college guys were drunken frat boys… :stuck_out_tongue:

No, I’m worried about them becoming ice cream topping instead of cookies! But thanks.

If your nose runs and your feet smell, you’re upside down.

Ahem. It’s my 50th birthday today. I got a sweet card from my husband, a funny card from my Dad, and a crazy open-it-backwards-and-upside-down card from the doggies.

ReboSon came by to say hi. Mr Rebo is fixing dinner tonight! He has a brisket in the oven, and it’s smellin’ goooooood.

It’s funny, I don’t feel any older than I did yesterday! :stuck_out_tongue:

Happy ReboDay!!!
<flinging confetti with wild and reckless abandon>

So make with the cake and ice cream already!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REBO!!!

I’ve managed to at least take a shower today. Pretty soon, though, I’ll have to fight the traffic and head to Costco. Bleh…

You know that fancy-schmancy laptop we bought for our daughter’s high school graduation present? The one that we spent mucho, mucho mucho bucks for? Yeah, well her battery hasn’t charging properly in it. I thought perhaps it was the charging unit/cord thingie. Nope, among other things, they have to send a tech out to replace her whole motherboard. I’m still waiting to hear the rest of the damage. My daughter’s boyfriend is STILL on the phone with them. He’s been on the phone with them for the last freakin’ hour. Good grief! All I know is that it all better be fixed free. She just got that thing in July.

Wow, all of a sudden I’m hungry. That figures, I just brushed my stupid teeth.

I was going to bake my own cake, but since Mr Rebo took over the oven, I just bought one from the grocery store! It’s chocolate with chocolate icing. : drool :

Yep, that’s him-- thanks, I think he’s adorable too!

<ahem> clearing throat <ahem>

happy birthday feudmistress rebo!

Thought I’d pop into say a big happy birthday to Rebo. It was my 23rd yesterday and I hope your having a lovely day, as lovely as mine was yesterday.

As I mentioned before I’m a fussy git but I was really taken back by all the lovely things I got - my friends and family are so thoughtful. From what I remember I got

  • 6 pairs of shoes
  • A tourist attraction pass thingy
  • A silver necklace with a small diamond pendant
  • A cake
  • A box of chocolates
  • A bagful of lush goodies
  • A goonies hoodie
  • A goonies tin box full of sweets
  • A silver compact with hello kitty and jemma inscribed (my name!) into it
  • A thundercats t shirt transfer
  • A hello kitty bracelet (yes I loooooove hello kitty!)
  • A body spray set
I was spoiled rotten! I went out and played pool with my family, then we played crazy golf (the inside one as it was extremely windy outside and I didnt want my new doo to get ruined!). After that we went to Frankie and Bennys for a meal. The lights went off and I thought ‘wow’ someone else must have the same birthday! Suddenly a chocolate sundae with two candles in it was coming towards me and everyone began to sing happy birthday - needless to say my face could have warmed the room!

So Rebo hows your day been then? Hope you’ve been pampered as you should have been!

Lucky Jem! (and a happy belated birthday to you)

I am most envious of your birthday loot, and particularly of the Lush stuff. I (heart) Lush, especially the Buffy the Backside Slayer bar, which is all sorts of exfoliating wonderful goodness and all the different bath melt thingies. The Boy usually sticks a bath bomb or two into any present he gives me… I’ve trained him well.

Hippo birdie to you too, Rebo! I wholeheartedly approve of your choice of birthday cake.

I figured out why I had a nasty migraine last night… the weather today is swinging around from sunny to gusting winds to pouring rain and everywhere in between. Urk. My poor head doesn’t know what to do.

Happy Birthday, Mumpers!

I’ve only really skimmed… I’m still aggravated with Best Buy. After several conversations it appears that I’m still short of their quota for their No Lemon Policy. But, I’m not sure that’s really the case because their version of history and mine differ. So now I have to go through several years of filing and prove them wrong.

I’m cooking up a storm meself, since I have to feed the fire department tomorrow night. Someone else is supposed to bring a ham, and I’m providing baked beans, cukes’n’onions, and a chocloate/chocolae cake. Oddly enough, I won’t be there to enjoy because a rescue squad committment.

RE: the cake, good minds think alike. Also, since nobody has said anything,
Happy Birthday(s), Rebo and J

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REBO AND JEM!

yawn Is it naptime yet? Work is…slow. And I’m in a weird mood because I’m getting conflicting info from Social Security – in my favor, amazingly – and can’t do anything about it until tomorrow. Arrrrrgh!

So, herbs, exactly how old is that handsome young man? And is he available?

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY JEM!

Bobbio, I thought of you when I heard this week’s “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me.” They were talking about how CPR instructors are using “Stayin’ Alive” to teach the proper chest compression rhythm. Guess what the other song with the right beat is?

Another One Bites the Dust

No contest which one should be sung rather than hummed in actual practice.

Thanks everybody!

I got one big present of a new set of pots and pans, Jem. It’s what I wanted! I was taken to dinner last night, and hubby is cooking dinner for me tonight. And I had a nap! Us old farts luuuurve naps, huh Swampy?

I’ve been taking it easy, other than grocery shopping for the week. It’s been a great day!

Mr Rebo hooked up the doorbell in preparation for Halloween, and has been tormenting the dogs (and me!) with it. He also replaced the foyer light and the porch light fixtures. They look awesome, and match the brass trim of the new door.

27[sup]th[/sup]-ed (or so) – good-looking young man!

Happy Birthday, Rebo!!

and Happy Birthday, J-kid!!

I’m going to be 45 in about a month.
:eek::eek::eek:

… So, I’m still nearly twice as young as you are!!

Hey, I see you took up my suggestion from way back  Glad I could help!

**Bobbio **-- haven’t been in a position to really need immediate emergency care (=knocks on wood=) – but 3Acre’s story says it all, I think.

SnowBunny, are you taking advantage of the fact your mom isn’t around to check on your behavior?

Hi, everybody else!

Well, looks like I may be flying to Poland, of all places, for an overnight business trip Tuesday early morning. But have lap-top, will follow (next) MMP! (not so sure about posting, though, as I’m probably going to be devilishly busy.)

Hope you all enjoyed your Sunday, and see you all in the next MMP!

Oh my goodness!

Happy Birthday, Dear Rebo!

Happy Birthday to you, AgentJ
