When Come Back Bring PII A Mobile MMP

Stop Shouting!!!

Silly 'Muricans… considering Thanksgiving was last week, it’s definitely much too early to start planning for something that’s a whole 51 weeks away.

Also, following a marathon meeting session this afternoon, I am now officially the gatekeeper of all permissions associated with user security profiles and will be trying to untangle the mess that is user profiles on a 30-year-old system held together with bubble gum, twine and spit. Oh, and I have to be done by Friday.

I know you all are incredibly jealous of this privilege and wish you were me right about now. Or maybe that’s pity… I have trouble telling the two apart sometimes.

3acres, I don’t suppose you want to send some of those leftovers over thisaway? It’s been ages since I’ve had myself a plate of collard greens and that dinner of yours looks yum!

Dang - took me a while to get here today. I got off work a bit after 3, stopped at the store for some milk and 'nanners, then came home. We had a scalloped ham/peas/N.O.T. casserole with cabbage on the side. It was yum.

Dishwasher is running. I’m gonna help daughter grade papers. She’s lost her voice - not good for a 2nd grade teacher.

That’s all I’ve got. Is it Firday yet??

MOOOOOM I think you should go to school with TPC tomorrow. You could demonstrate to all the kiddies what she’s tryin’ to say usin’ sock puppets. It’d be a great learning experience for the little knee biters!

Dindin was nummy! Appreciation to follow soon.

Muppet you should come south for Amurrkin Turkey Day. Collards are always on the menu at da cave. I make some yum yum collard greens if’n I do say so myself.

Apparently you did not see my post…

It’s never too early to think about Thanksgiving!

Cold(or gelatinous cube) in head. Fighting it with mild chili and vitamin Y. I was puttting a sign on a stack of canned potatoes. I had to stop myself from writing “Canned N.O.T. 2/$1” Hulu or hockey tonight?

swampy, last year I did blackened Cornish Hen for Murikin turkey day. I did canned Chinese once.

BBBobbio, one beagle raised kitty is a good number.

Puck, I’m happy for my customers and minions. My bosses can suck eggs for all I care.

. A gold painted Frisbee on a pipe cleaner is not a halo.

gt, I’d be rich, but I keep spending the lottery money on beer.

All these dinner recipes have my tummy growling, and I just ate! They all sound so good, especially the Pioneer Woman Chicken spaghetti (thanks, Bumba!). We had leftovers from the corned beef on Sunday and they were good.

I’ve got my CFC (combined Federal campaign) keyworker stuff now, so I’ll probably be giving it out to my co-workers this week. They’re pushing for folks to give online this year. I spent a bit of today checking out the cfc website for my area (the national capital area); one good thing about the CFC is that it does tell you how much the charities spend (percentage wise) on administrative costs. The less the better, means more goes directly to those who need help. It’s surprising to me how large a percentage goes to those administrative costs for some of the bigger charities. :frowning:

That’s all I’ve got (thanks, FCM :p); at least tomorrow is hump day, right?

Almost bedtime. Hurray!

Actually, Dear, if they’d pay me to do it, I’d do it in a New York minute, for the nostalgia factor if nothing else.
(I was a programmer, and later an analyst, on IBM midrange systems for 30 years.)

Wifey is at a meeting, so dinner tonight is left-over chicken spaghetti and a nuker-waved sweet dumpling squash.

Time for Jeopardy!

No, but now I have. You’re up November 10.

welby made me giggle. Have I mentioned I love multiquotes?

Heh. Best description for this stuff ever. My employer is apparently doing Lean Six Sigma and Kaizen, too, but it hasn’t hit me very hard yet.

I’ve added this link and Chicken Spaghetti to the blog. Yum.

Long day at work, but fun volunteer meeting at the park. We got to eat apples with red insides. (That’s one of the directions apple breeders are going in…)

It’s way past my bedtime, so nitey-night.

I can fully understand, but… My dad has a cold and the past several mornings his coughing and throat clearing have awakened me between 4 and 4:30. So, here I am. Have I mention the stove folly this week? I think I did. TVMan is looking for a stove for his older son’s family because theirs is barely working. Through craigslist I found that a neighbor 4 doors down has one for sale. I had arranged to look at it on Monday evening, but when I told TVMan that he said that they’d found one in better shape in Ashtabula (where son lives). So I emailed to cancel my appointent to look at the one here. Yesterday after I got home TVMan called to say that the stove had been sold before they could buy it. First, I drove to the ReStore to see if they had any. They were closed. Then I emailed my neighbor again to see if I could look at her stove last night. The idea was that I would just load it up into my car and take it with me directly after work. Well, she didn’t read my email until about midnight. So now I’ll have to deliver my lunch and then come back to look at it. It’s only a deviation of about an hour. Still, though, it’s alot of driving for me (1 hour 45 minutes to Ashtabula and 1 hour from Ashtabula to TVLand) and I had hoped to get a move on sooner.

Well, I bet everyone is glad that I shared that mundane and pointless aspect of my life.

On preview: My dad just walked in and apologized for waking me up.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’ here. No offense CutiePie but I acutally slept pretty good last night. It’s nice when that happens.

Ok, time for more caffiene followed by purtification. We’re goin’ out for some brekkies before worktime. I offered to make brekkies but was told that it feels like an IHOP kinda mornin’.

taxi, Mahna Mahna, those collards and all are what I make when I should have gone grocery shopping a few days ago…I’ve almost always got those ingredients in the house, even when the pantry’s bare. I have to get my butt in gear and get to the store. Heck, I ran out of coffee a few days ago and I really like some in the morning. I think I’ll get to work on my shopping list and go forth today: I shall have my coffee!

Bumbazine, I worked in IT for a corporation that did the dress down for United Way thing for a while. We had a ‘dollar a day’ offer made one fall; I purchased enough credits to get me through the following year (almost 18 months, altogether). It ruined me, ha! Even after it ran out, I never wore a tie to work again. I got talked to about it a couple of times, especially when my third-level boss saw me weaing jeans in the office. I offered to transfer to a group that was less concerned about the corporate dress code, but my direct supervisor told me to forget about it; she’d take care of it. I made it all the way to retirement wearing denim. (It helped that I was somewhat competent at my job.) Now, I only wear ties for weddings and funerals.

Morning. Early. Here.

Maybe the internet won’t die today, and I can be online more.

My inlaws just got themselves a moving-in present. A chocolate point siamese kitten named Betty. I can’t wait to meet her. Two weeks till vacation!

Blurf.

I may be getting some satisfaction from the hunt club about the ruts one of their own left in the north 40. A few of them were out yesterday running their dogs, and I stopped for a chat. They were appalled, and called The Powers That Be with their club. Within 2 hours the guy responsible called me, asked how he could make it right (fix the ruts and don’t use my yard as a highway), and said it’ll get done.

Maybe he’ll get to it faster than the lumberjacks, who I had to park in before they got around to it last time.

Cup #1 of WTHU down, and I’m waiting for time to go forage. Carry on.

GT- I read your sig as “Soapy, all subsequent Mondays”
Going to N.O.L with a friend today and then (finally) to PT to deal with my elbow.

Hurray!

And Good morning to all you out there in Mumperland

If you’d like, I can modify it to that.

Up. Not awake. Need to get ready for work.

Is it Firday yet?

GT

morning all - half caffienated here, need some more coffee!

I’m on the planning committee for the office holiday party (this is the “big” office, one that my division is part of); we have a planning meeting scheduled for noon today. They’ll probably choose the theme for this year’s party then work on figuring out what to order. Last year, it was fiesta with Mexican food. We had pinatas at the party and folks actually got up there and whacked at em. It was fun to watch em, but I didn’t want to be the one trying to bash the pinata though.

Afternoon everyone! I am pleased to say that the scales at Fat Club were kind to me last night and I got a shiny new sticker for my book. I celebrated by going home and scoffing a huge bowl of stew that 'im indoors made. I did have to share some of it with Shadow because there were bits of sausage in it and he got bonkers for those. OK, so he goes bonkers for any kind of meaty people-food but sausages are a real favourite.

It’s my turn to cook tonight and it will involve some incarnation of chicken boobies, mushroom and shallots. And wine. Followed by beerverages in the pub.

My mother rang last night while I was out, she spoke to 'im indoors but didn’t leave a message. He forgot to tell me that he’d said I’d ring her back, then when he did remember about it, it was late at night so he left me a note. In the bathroom. Sometime I should remind him that only one of us pees facing the cistern and would see a note left on top of it. And that someone isn’t me.

So I am having a panic about what she wanted, whether she was ok, whether or not she’d been carted off to hospital etc…rang at 9am when I got to work but the machine was on, tried again just now and it turns out she wanted to talk finances to me and hadn’t been in at 9am because she’d gone to the gym. Arrrgghhhh!

Sick, off to work.
