When do you drink your coffee?

All day long. It makes me more alert during the day, and doesn’t seem to affect my sleep pattern. Actually, I have a crappy sleep pattern, but it’s not changed by the presence/absence of caffeine.

Freshly brewed first cup of the day - best coffee available - Indian blend. One cup after I get out of bed - is the elixir of the gods - second cup as I get dressed and ready for the day.

Then am ready to face the world.

A 20 oz. cup of Dunkin’ Donuts decaf to start the day. Rarely other than that, though sometimes when I’m out running errands I’ll treat myself to a large cup of iced Dunkin’ Donuts decaf. Caffeine is not good for me, unfortunately, but Dunkin’ decaf is goood stuff.

I voted “all of the above” but would like to have added both of the below too.

Of course, I drink instant coffee, which I don’t think you guys count as “real” anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

When I first lurch out of bed in the AM, I make a mandatory visit to the bathroom.

And then I stumble into the kitchen and kneel before the coffeemaker, beseeching it to bestow upon me its worldly blessings.

I drink two cups a day. MY cups. The mark on the coffeemaker says “6” but I have a big insulated mug, and I fill it twice.

Black, scalding hot, and lifegiving.

Mostly lifegiving for those who have to tolerate my presence. If I have coffee, I don’t kill anybody.

All day long. Serious addiction.

My mother is one of those tiny women who survives on coffee, she drinks about 4 pots a day.

I wish I could, I love the flavor and the sensation of the hot liquid (…shud up!..)

But for me it’s a couple of cups first thing and with breakfast. Occasionally one cup in the afternoon. But I really can’t take the caffeine - it does a number on me. And coffee in general blugvelates my lower plumbing - although, sometimes this is the desired affect :D.

I have coffee pretty much all day. Espresso neat in the morning. Kreug cup or two at work, a Tim Horton’s mid day and then possibly another espresso after dinner. Love it. And I find Espresso doesn’t bother me as much as regular coffee. It actually has less cafeine.

Poll option fail. I voted “after breakfast”, but that’s a bit misleading… when I drink coffee, it’s almost always in midafternoon, about an hour after lunch. It keeps my keyboard from getting all dented by my forehead.

With breakfast, but only on weekends and not every weekend. I don’t need the boost to get going in the morning, or any other time for that matter. It just goes well with Sunday breakfast.

Usually one immediately after waking up, one an hour or so after I get into work, and one around 3PM. That’s on weekdays. Occasionally one in the evening.

On weekends, maybe one or two in the morning. And then if I’m out maybe the mood will take me for a Dunks or a Starbucks.

And if I’m out to dinner, maybe one after the meal, depending on if I’m with people I want to spend more time with, or somewhere with really excellent dessert.

Voted “all day long” but my cutoff point is around 3-4 pm or else I have trouble sleeping. I’ll have a cup of decaf at night if I’m at a restaurant and order dessert.
