Poll coming in a minute. IF you don’t drink coffee, don’t vote dammit!
I drink it all the time. Have to have it when I get up, and often enjoy a cup right before bed.
I know someday this will change; caffeine will affect me differently or the doctors will tell me I have to cut back or die or something. That’s going to be a sad day when that happens.
I voted “All Day Long,” but for me it’s a seasonal thing.
When the average daily temps drop below 70F, I can do coffee all day long.
Above that, I have a morning cup (~16-20oz), and maybe a late afternoon/early evening cup (5:00 PM - 7:00 PM).
If it makes you feel any better, I got my all-day coffee habit from my grandma, who drank a minimum of two percolators per day, until her sudden death… at age 97. Sure, it wasn’t espresso (fairly weakly brewed Maxwell House, in fact,) but still, lots of coffee, especially for a 4’10", 90 pound woman.
And my mom was off her coffee for a while, but finally found that she could drink drip coffee made with a paper filter, and all was much happier in MatataLand.
Me? If told that I have to give up coffee for health reasons, I’ll remind the doctor that it’s better for everyone else’s health if I drink it. And ask for palliative care for whatever’s gonna kill me.
All day, every day, all year long.
I drink it around breakfast time, and then on my break at work, and sometimes I buy myself a fancy latte as a treat later in the day.
Most days I have two cups, one as soon as I get up, the other with breakfast which I have after I finish the first cup. I voted for the first option.
I’ll sometimes have a cup after lunch or in the afternoon if I’m feeling drowsy, but that’s no more than a couple of times a week.
Well, I put all day long in the poll, but really, it is after each meal. A meal doesn’t seem complete without a big 'ole coffee afterwards.
From the moment I stagger out of bed, up until about 2:00 or 3:00 pm. Rarely later than that.
6-11 am, then around 3, then after dinner, if I’m not switching booze.
About 20 oz in the morning.
If i need something hot later on in the day it’s Tea, Coco or Chicken Bullion.
Too much coffee makes me jittery n’ scratchy.
I drink coffee only when I feel an urgent need for indigestion. Yes, even decaf does this to me. And I do love coffee.
I have a couple of cups of hot tea when I wake up, and might have hot or cold tea later in the day. But I need those hot cups in the morning.
It IS my breakfast, basically. Two cups good, strong coffee in the morning when I wake up at 5-6 a.m. I do eat breakfast, sort of, but usually about 3 hours after I wake up.
I rarely drink it otherwise. Maybe a foo-foo coffee confection from Starbucks during the day, less than once a week. Coffee after dinner if I go out at night.
I drink one cup a day, at dinner.
While I do not literally drink coffee all day long – I can no longer tolerate that much caffeine in my diet – there is no time of day (depending upon the day) that I will not drink it, so I chose that option.
Really need multiple answers.
Always with breakfast, always after breakfast at work, and after dinner with dessert if it is a dessert which goes with coffee. Never in the afternoon, and never with either dinner or lunch.
I posted “after breakfast,” but I also like it in the afternoon, but only if I didn’t have any in the morning.
I need two cups in the morning.
With, before or, after breakfast.
First thing I do is chug a cup of Joe. Then a vitamin drink. Then another cup of Joe. An hour or two after that I’m ready to eat. After breakfast I have another cup.
I drink it all day and night.
