A night shower turned to morning.
I’m Asian, and it was customary to shower at night. It wasn’t really anything special, it just was the ‘done’ thing <shrugs>
Since going to Uni, I found that I had to shower in the mornings since:
a) I really need to wake myself up.
b) The Hair Thing
When I workout in the evenings I still shower at night.
Night time, I have really long hair, and don’t like to blow dry it. Plus I like how warm and cuddly the flannel sheets feel when one is all clean and smooth.
Also, I don’t want to go off in the morning after having just gotten all wet, (even after I dry off and dress, I feel more susceptable to the cold air or something, weird I know
).
Plus, I teach aqua aerobics and dance classes 5 days a week, twice a day two of those days, and there are many days when I get a shower in after classes too.
Decidedly morning. Need the wakeup. But here’s a wrinkle - always after breakfast. I know that most folks can wake up & jump right into the shower. Me, I find that just too much of a rude shock, can’t do it. I get up, have a quick breakfast & pot of tea, then I can handle the shower.
I suspect that I am pretty eccentric in doing things this way.
I was also frequently late for work. But I always worked even later so they tolerated me. Then I got laid off. But that’s another story.
