I’m just curious about when the kids go back in your area.

Lovely, Joe K! The miracle of school has once again been visited upon the fair city of Charleston, SC.
September 2 here in the Lower Mainland area.
August 18th.
September 2, and I’ll be there.
Local public elementary, middle and high schools (Knox county anyway) started August 12.
The state university I attend started August 20th.
I’m not sure about the other surrounding counties.
Sept 3 in most of New York’s Hudson Valley.
August 11th in Plano, Texas! The kiddos do get a four-day “fall break”, though.
September 2nd. Though almost everyone else I know is going back next week sometime.
August 19th for my kids, September 2nd for me.
We teachers go back on August 27 and the kids come back on September 2. Summer is way too short!
Sidebar: this thread probably doesn’t belong in The Pit…wouldn’t want the kiddos to hear the language thrown around here. 
The community college I attend doesn’t start the fall semester til September 29th. Lucky me, it’s one of the latest start dates I’ve ever heard of. OTOH, my sister, who is just starting high school, begins September 1st.
Well, this reaction wasn’t quite what I intended, either…it was a roundabout way of observing the tone of the board lately. :o
