When is it going to stop raining?

No, this is not a weather related rant. I’m wondering if there are any dopers out there who are meteorology buffs who might be able to tell me when we’re going to get some consistant sunshine in the DC/Northern Virginia area. The lack of sunlight is beginning to seriously effect my mood.

I have heard that we can’t have summer again in New England because the man on the mountian fell. Apparently, he made summer happen. We need to rebuild him quick.

I’m not sure if his work in bringing summer to us had any affect down in the Mid Atlantic region.

Soon.

It’s the same in Atlanta. The paper today says we got more rain this May than typically falls in Pago Pago (the water-soaked capital of American Samoa).

Every day brings a new story of a retaining wall collapsing, or a dam overflowing, or a sewer collapsing from all the stormwater runoff, or a street flooding.

The whole state is water-logged and stinks of mildew.

Well, spoke-, you’re right about that; I live in Duluth, and it’s looking like we’ll get some more rain this PM. Fortunately, there was about 1/2 hour of sun this morning – just enough time to mow the lawn, but not enough to dry the grass enough to mow properly, so it looks like crap.

Quite a change from the last several years, when rainfall was considerably below normal. Yet, AFAIK, watering restrictions haven’t been lifted (not that anyone followed them, or needs to water at the moment).

Supposed to be partly cloudy Sunday through Wednesday of next week. Of course, storms after that, but still…

Lets hope.

(hijack) When did this happen? Last I knew, he was being largely supported by cables and rebar, but I hadn’t realized those weren’t enough.

May 3rd. Where ya been, Chronos?
