When the SDMB invades your dreams.........

First I want to say that I believe my husband to be an honest, loving and faithful man who in 28 years has never, ever given me any reason to think otherwise—when I’m awake.

But when I’m asleep, he becomes a cold-hearted snake with the morals of an allycat who romances hundreds of women and leaves me begging him to “take me back one more time”. I usually have this type of dream when I’m feeling like I’ve been neglecting him or our relationship a bit. I wake up feeling angry at first and then foolish when I get totally awake. I’m sure this reveals some horrible flaw in my psyche.

But last night it went too far. I dreamed he left me for the wife of another doper. They were tired of how much time we spent on the computer. No amount of begging would make the spouses return. They left together on a train. At the station I was approached by a man whose face was always in shadow and he handed me a card that read “The Straight Dope on Rejection” with an address on the back.

I knocked on the door in a seedy part of town and somehow knew the code word was “felch”. The room was dark and crowded and had a faint goat like smell. Everyone had a name tag on. I recognized the names of banned dopers. Some people had multiple name tags on, and walking in among everyone were the ghosts of Rejected Names. As my former pseudonym Mojo57 approached me, I turned and ran from the room. The words “you’ll be back” echoed in my ears.

What in the hell could this dream possible mean? Has anyone else ever had the SDMB figure in their own dreams?

You should’ve stayed longer. The band was great.

I had a long involved dream a few nights ago (one of those dreams that actually had a plot) that included an easter egg hunt, keys to long-dead locks, etc. At one point, while my friend and I were standing in the pouring rain, discussing which key we should try first, a voice caught our attention. Under a carport (we were in a residential neighborhood) was a sunlamo and a hammock. On the hammock was bobkitty, sunning himself (in the dream bobkitty was male, even though she isn’t in real life) into a tan. He/she gave us some sage advice, which I don’t remember, and I woke up soon after.
