When will the first criminal indictments for Trump happen?

My guess is that once the 11th Circuit grants DOJ’s appeal to void Judge Loose Cannon’s meddling in the Mar–A-Lago affair, indictments will coming quickly after (two weeks!). I think it will be longer for any charges to come out of the Jan 6 investigation.

Is there any time frame on this?

Darned spell-check (dys)function for “euphemism”, eh?

Trump will never be convicted in a criminal trial. :frowning:

And you may quote me on that.

I have 100% faith in the voir dire process.
7 trillion quatloos say that no juror will try to pull a 180 by suddenly showing their Trumpist colours when it comes time for a verdict in a criminal trial for Don.

Put me down for 80% faith

This sounds about right to me, too.

I think @Si_Amigo should take credit for inventing a new and much-needed word (especially these days). Definition: when you don’t actually want to come out and say you wish someone would die. Very useful.

$100 million probably isn’t a big deal to the bank CEO. But it is very big deal to whomever there is responsible for the Trump Organization’s business.

You don’t know too many Trumpers, I’m guessing.

Today, I once again mailed in a straight Democratic ballot, and yet I’m quite open to the idea that Trump will be overcharged.

But since I’m convinced Trump is a crook, someone like me is unlikely to get on the jury. Instead, someone just asking questions will get on.

Almost every criminal defendant is overcharged.

Bumping this thread to absorb the poll results. Over a third of us said never.

I was wrong because I voted before the end of 2022. I was off by a few months.
