The only time you see Fred & Barney on the TV anymore is when they’re hawking Fruity Pebbles. Alright for us old folks but their “celebrity” status is lost on the current crop of children.
Why don’t we see reruns?
As far as that goes, where are the old Looney Tunes?
Not certain about the Flintstones, but believe me, the only place you want to see any Looney Tunes is on DVD. After the butchering they’ve taken by the censors, you’d hardly recognize them on a Satuday morning anymore.
All those ubiquitous Flinstones reruns of the past have been replaced by ubiquitous Simpsons reruns.
The Flintstones and old Looney Tunes run on Boomerang, Cartoon Network’s (rarer) sister network. All six seasons of the series are also available on DVD from Warner Home Video.
As a kid I got to the point that I HATED the Flintstones because they were on TV so much.
