Has Cecil ever posted on the Straight Dope Message Board? I usually only go to General Questions, Great Debates, and The Pit, so maybe I’ve just missed him. Anyway, CECIL! Do you pronounce your name “seecil” or “saicil,” as in SAID? 
Yes he posts from time to time, here’s a search. He commented just over a week ago on a thread about 2-letter Scrabble words.
He doesn’t tend to read much at random, and most of his posts are in the forum “Comments on Cecil’s Columns” – he browses there every so often, expecting to see worshipful praise.
And it’s “see-sil”.
