I believe it was from the episode on Saturday night. (Not the free home competition, just the regular show). I’ve looked on the TLC website. The latest season they have is Season 4. Are we presently in season 4?
I only caught the end. I believe Edward Walker was the designer. He had red walls. Used bamboo beach mats on the walls (framed with leather tape?). The art on the wall looked like palm trees. The furniture was dark in colour. I seem to remember a lamp, with a white lampshade and beads around the edge.
If you can’t tell me where to find a pic of this room, do you know what that style is called?
Why am I thinking “Hemmingway”?
*Damn me for switching from COPS! This has done my head in.

Was it the March 13th episode? I occassionally post on the TLC boards. I can ask there if you’d like (and confirm the date).
Yes, I believe it was March 13th. That would be very sweet of you.
I tried to look around those boards, to no avail. The one thing they could do to improve their site is to list the date of the episode, as well as what part of the country they’re in.
I’m moving this summer and was going through all kinds of “styles” that would suit my new living room. That one would be perfect. I’d love to be able to mimic the style.
Another thing I remember is they had a valance/scarf topper with a print that had monkeys on it (with red hats). I know that sounds warped, but it fit in quite perfectly.
This is what I’m told:
It is an episode of Trading Spaces Family, and it aired at 6 pm on the 13th. (I think the first run ones are on Sundays.) The episode title is “Virginia Beach: Talbot Court” and the page for this episode is:
There is a before & after that you can click on, but it is only one photo of each finished room. You can also click for the TS Family schedule for the current month, so that you can see when it will be on in the future.
(You might also try googling for the episode title and see what turns up…)
Hope that helps!
