Pardon my posting, but I was wondering…A&E recently (OK, semi recently. I forgot to post this question at the time) aired the movie “The Lost Battalion”, which is set in World War I. The important thing, however, is the font used in the main title, which can be seen here. I’ve seen a similar font used in a few books on WWI, as well as the movie Zeppelin. Can anyone tell me where I can find a version of that font online? Or even where I could shudder BUY it, if I had to?
Well, thanks for your time,

This is the closest I got. You want it, it’s here.
I guess it’d be the Western Font
I agree with RM Mentock’s questioning of the era though. It looks kinda 60’s-ish to me.
I must admit it’s not what I was expecting when I read the OP. It also looks like the one they used for The Godfather poster and any number of war novels. Good work by GuanoLad all the same.
The one I had is actually a homemade one by someone, imitating the font used in the Star Wars spin-off “Shadows of the Empire”.
I agree it’s not very World War I-ish. Though I don’t know what would be World War I font, really…
I’ve seen it before in a book on Art Nouveau fonts. This would approximately coincide with WWI.
