Where can I get a question answered on the Internet??

There is of course GQ (free, $15 after 30 days), but i’ve come across a few others that i’ve found useful. These include the Wikipedia reference desk ($0), Google Answers ($2-200) and Ask MetaFilter($5). The only one that is completely free forever is the Wikipedia reference desk.

Oh! Don’t forget your online shrink ($35 per e-mail).

Does anyone else have a place they go for “general questions”?

Wadda you wanna know?

You could try Answerbag. I haven’t asked any questions there (I’d go to GQ here for that), but I have answered a bunch.

Here. Cough up.

I can’t imagine a better service than the SDMB. I’ve seen some awfully arcane stuff answered here, and quickly too.

This post is an answer to the OP, so “here” was a fantastic place to start.

Have a nice day!

I’m sad that everyone took me so seriously.

Cheer up little soldier! No need to feel blue.

Happy New Year!!!

Ditto, lil’ soldier

We tend to do that around here when there’s no indication that you’re joking…

I still don’t get the joke. You listed the SDMB as well as other common and real question answer places in your OP and implied that they would not be adequate for answering something you wanted to ask. What was the joke?

The OP strikes me as being somewhat akin to writing Ann Landers to ask who to write to for advice.

Yes!

Wait now. We can’t know everything! I have hunderds of bookmarks to sites that have INFORMATION. So OP, you answered your question in your question…on the Internet, of course!

I’ve found allexperts.com to be pretty useful… especially for computer related questions.

Well, considering that Ann Landers is dead (unless, ala Cecil Adams, someone else is writing under her name) writing to her seems pointless.
