There is of course GQ (free, $15 after 30 days), but i’ve come across a few others that i’ve found useful. These include the Wikipedia reference desk ($0), Google Answers ($2-200) and Ask MetaFilter($5). The only one that is completely free forever is the Wikipedia reference desk.

I still don’t get the joke. You listed the SDMB as well as other common and real question answer places in your OP and implied that they would not be adequate for answering something you wanted to ask. What was the joke?
Wait now. We can’t know everything! I have hunderds of bookmarks to sites that have INFORMATION. So OP, you answered your question in your question…on the Internet, of course!
