Where can I purchase bulk astronaut ice cream?

Okay, this is a bizzare request for the teeming millions:

Does anyone know where I can purchase a bulk order of astronaut ice cream?? Normally its just sold individually in those little packages. I want either large chunks of it, or many many packages of it – at a non-science store rate!!

I know a few companies who distribute it, but who manufactures it? I’m assuming its made in large blocks and then those are split up into smaller pieces for final packaging. Ideally, I’d like to order these large blocks.
Please help. I have an addiction.

Also, this snack food is more generally referred to as freeze dried ice cream, or dehydrated ice cream.

(It’s just sold as astronaut ice cream as sort of a gimmick)

This company offers quantity discounts of the packets:

http://www.luvyduvy.com/
and so does this one:

http://www.kopes.com/space/icecream.htm

but my quick Google search isn’t turning up anything like big blocks in bulk.

Maybe if you contact the manufacturer direct, they can help you out.

http://www.luvyduvy.com/ Doesn’t say what price but DOES have this on the page:

http://www.celestialproducts.com/PARTYICE.asp has a 10 pack at $24.50, and offers a larger discount on orders of 50 pouches or more.

If you want more options, I suggest googling “astronaut ice cream”, as I did.

If it is freeze-dried, I don’t think you’ll find it in big blocks; it is more likely manufactured in smallish pieces as the water can more readily escape this way during the freeze drying process.

Yes, I found all those websites. I can order bulk supply of individual packages but that’s not really what I’m after (not much of a discount, either - I got the price lists).

I’d like to find out who actually manufactures the stuff.

Backpacker’s Pantry makes freeze dried ice cream for hikers. You can get a discount if you order in bulk at www.campmor.com

I think Archie McPhee in Seattle used to sell astronaut ice cream. They have a wholesale division (Accoutrements) where you might be able to buy large quantities.

I recall seeing this stuff for sale at the Huntsville (AL) Space Museum. The stuff tastes like styrofoam!
Actually, that is why I think I will eschew space travel-the food sucks!
