“For every one that parts, one stands above ground” - meaning that the deceased will not be forgotten by the living? Does that make sense?
I think it’s something close to that.
For everyone (two beings) that parts (parts forever because one has died), one stands above ground (still alive and remembering the other)
It seems like it was black humour, she is seriously saying it, but they stuck to the idea of forming a pun or double entendre. The gorilla had (de)parted…
It seems the real meaning is “we will find the live one(s) then !”
and it seemed to be fitting words for a funeral in some circumstances, positivity in the face of death
