Where I eventually get to a question about the TV show Warrior Nun

There seems to be an emerging trend of commercials with black guys dancing in office buildings. In my opinion, this should continue. The guy in the bank commercial dances better than the guy in the Orbitz commercial-- also my opinion.

The guy in the Orbitz commercial looked very familiar to me and it was bothering me that I couldn’t place him. A little googling told me he was Miquel Àngel Ripeu from Barcelona. This info didn’t help me place him. His iMDB page told me he was in three episodes of Warrior Nun. Jackpot!

I watched the first two seasons or so of Warrior Nun. Liked it. But I’m not really a dedicated TV show watcher. I never knew when it was coming on or if there were new seasons. My husband, however, kept up with it and I sort of kept up by osmosis.

My question is: What happened to the boyfriend? She screwed him at the very beginning of the series and then dumped him and that was the end of that. Did it ever become essential to the plot that she not be a virgin? Was that whole romance a complete waste of time whose only purpose was a gratuitous sex scene? This has been weighing on my mind. Look what you’ve done, gum-chewing, office escalator, dancing guy!

I didn’t think the storyline with the boyfriend was a waste of time. It was the first time that Ava, who had spent years being a quadriplegic in a hellhole orphanage, got to taste a little freedom. As for what happened to him, well, I assume he rejoined his gang of petty thieves and continued squatting in empty mansions while hoping that he didn’t meet anybody else who battled interdimensional monsters on a regular basis. As for whether she was a virgin or not, it wouldn’t really matter because it’s not like she had taken vows at that point. Plus, this was a show where the nuns carry firearms and beat people up with high-level martial arts, so one would think they’d be inclined to not be picky regarding sex.

So, just brushing off the paralyzed dust? Using the guy to get the blood circulation back? I suppose he was lucky. A lot of her friends ended up dead.

Well, we might just get the opportunity to see where the boyfriend went, given the recent news that the show has been revived. Details, unfortunately, are slim. Said revival could involve a proper series, or perhaps just a wrap-up movie. The only thing that seemed pretty clear is that it won’t be back on Netflix, which is a drag because now I have to fret that it’ll go to a service I don’t subscribe to.

I’d watch another limited series run. I love how it finished properly, with an actual ending.
