Multiple people have posted to this thread. Some embrace religion, but find Carson’s ignorance and hatred distressing in a presidential candidatel. Some support him in his ignorance. Others may have no religious attachments and choose to criticize or defends him. And a few poster’s are so opposed to religious beliefs, entirely, that they have staked out a totally different position on the topic. Making broad brush claims about other posters without knowing their perspective and attributing their beliefs to posters that have not expressed the same ideas does nothing to promote whatever argument you are trying to make.

She’s entitled to her view, of course. But she’s dumb as fuck. Even assuming for the sake of argument that many Muslims want to mix church and state, it doesn’t mean a thing about their eligibility for office. Mike Huckabee has dynamited the division between the two but nobody says he’s unfit or ineligible for office.

Nit pick: 30% of caucus voters, which is a small subset of “Republicans”. Sort of an odd poll in that they polled both Republican and Democratic likely voters, but only Republicans were asked that question (or, if Democrats were asked it, the results were not published).

I read the column this morning, and besides the mandatory slap at Democrats, it was well reasoned. I was shocked.
