Where is the Survivor 3/24 thread?

So am I the only one that actually watched tonight’s episode? There was some great stuff in there. Granted, there was a looot of boring recap, but there were one or two moments that made it worth watching.

Chapera’s pretend tribal council had me rolling! Tom as Rupert? Rob O. as Jeff? Boston Rob’s Ethan wig? Freaking hilarious!

Chapera on coffee was great, too. Colby and Kathy speedwalking down the beach was another classic moment.

That was the best recap episode ever! I had to go get Mr. singular, who was so sure he didn’t want to see it, and drag him to the living room to watch the faux tribal council, and we were laughing our asses off. And who knew Ambah could be so funny? She had Tina down perfectly.
And the Big Tom language course was hysterical! They need to keep him in liquor all the time!

The coffee bit was really funny. I think TPTB are better off giving them coffee rather than booze next time. Let them all detox from their caffeine addictions for a few days, then start giving them espresso as a reward.

And yes, Chapera’s pretend TC was hysterical. Rob C. as Jeff was spot-on. Tom as Rupert was great.
I still hate Rob M., though, and his comment about Ethan’s jerri-curls. Isn’t that Ethan’s natural hair?

As recaps go, it wasn’t bad. There was quite a bit of stuff shown that I hadn’t seen before, and Cesternino as Propst was great. At least I got my Survivor fix for the week, and I can make it until next Thursday.

For my final four, I’m thinking it will be Kathy, Jenna, Amber, and Big Tom. Rupert, Rob, and Lex will get picked off as too much competition for the rest of them, Alicia is a loner and has no allies to keep her in the game, and Jerri and Shii Ann will go because nobody can stand them.

Of course, they might keep them around just because no one can stand them and they want them for one of the final two. Wouldn’t it be awful if it came down to Jerri and Shii Ann at the end?

I have to admit, I’m actually loving Boston Rahb this time - he’s bringing the snark! And yes, that is Ethan’s real hair - check the dreadlocks and the disco do!

Poor Legolamb heh. I understood what you meant from the first. As far as having a show to go up against the Friends finale, I wondered if the episode that was originally previewed, was more exciting than the following episode. Maybe Survivor felt it wanted a show with another twist as competition.

I laughed at last night’s coffee escapades, too. Kathy’s talk about her eyes being open and her running with Colby (as mentioned), were especially funny to me. “Coffee, who’s had coffee?”

I swear this is the last thing I’m going to write on the Survivor recap.

You guys are acting like throwing in the recap episode is in response to ratings or some other factor. It wasn’t “thrown in.” The fact is, Survivor has been airing the “recap episode” at approximately this time of the season since The Australian Outback. It’s been planned since the get-go.

This may be apropos of nothing, since it appears that everybody gets it. But I wanted to clear up any misconception that the recap episode was in response to something. It just…wasn’t. Unless, you know, you consider making a few extra bucks in advertising for “behind the scenes” footage a good thing.

The show I wish they’d bring back is the “where are they now?” episode. They did this one after Survivor: T.A.O. and Survivor: Africa, and I find it much more interesting to see how the players are adapting to “regular life” again.

Probably because when the show said, “Stay tuned for scenes from our next episode,” we weren’t shown clips about a recap. I doubt anyone in this thread is unaware there’s usually a recap during a season of Survivor, what we were speculating about, is why there was an apparent change in the first place.
