Where is this Spanish style building located?

This is in Season 3 of Ozark that was just released. It’s set in Michoacán, Mexico although the filming is in Georgia, US. They briefly used Chicago in the first season.

I know the moderators will probably want this in Cafe Society however a very difficult location was found before that I posted, probably because it was allowed to be in General Questions. I think if this was moved to Cafe Society it might not be solved. It’s more about the building than the show.

I’m very surprised that I haven’t found it yet. It seems like a tourist attraction not a private residence like it is in the show.

I’ve searched Spanish mission, fort, chateau, and villa for Georgia in Google Images.

Don’t know if you’ve tried this, but IMDB gives a list of some specific filming locations if it helps:

Yeah I know about that, I’ve added over ten locations to IMDB myself.

I don’t get why this location is not appearing in Google Images with words like fort, mission or villa which is what it appears to be for Georgia, US.

It’s such a large building that I don’t know why it’s difficult to find. It’s too large to be a private residence.

This is surreal. Over 500 people have seen this post and nobody knows about such a massive building in the United States.

You may have done this already, but perhaps search states adjacent to Georgia? It could be close enough to the main filming site in Georgia to make it a reasonable distance to travel when they need to film exterior shots.

Maybe it’s CGI? They’re doing that a lot now.

If this is keeping you up at night, you might want to contact the production companies and ask them. They may or may not know, but it’s worth a try. The two production companies listed in IMDB are Zero Gravity Management and Media Rights Capital (MRC). Good luck, and let us know if you ever solve this mystery.

It looks like a church to me (bell tower, stained glass) and not very Spanish

It’s an Armenian style church, if this can help you.

I did a lot of googling, but no luck.

Thanks for the info and trying to search for it.

No, it’s not keeping me up at night.

Going about it in a different way, is there metadata attached to those images that might include gps info? I’d guess you may need an imgbb account to get the metadata, if it is available.

If the images are stills they could be from anywhere. What I see looks more Old World than New World to me. In the OPs second link, there are a couple of Moorish-looking windows below the belfry.

There’s a cross on the belfry, so I’d search for terms like monastery, seminary, etc. (not fort).

I emailed the DNR of Georgia and they answered it for me. It’s the Mausoleum and Abbey of Westview cemetery in Atlanta.

I don’t think I would have thought of searching mausoleum or abbey.
