I need to find a job abroad. Not the developed ones like USA, UK, Australia or those EU s. Anyone suggest the easiest one to get a job or ones that have urgent needs like any African country or others like Thailand or Philippines or Mexico etc Outside South Asia? I’m a graduate in Computer Science. Can I work in any national parks in Africa?
Thnk U
Do you speak any languages? Are you willing to work for the same rate as a local?
If not why would they employ you?
If you want to work in a developing country your best bet might be to do a TOEFL (teaching english as a foreign language) certificate, Native speakers with degrees can get work in most countries. Or join the Peace Corp.
If you teach English for a few years and learn the local language then you can try to be able to get work in your field as a bilingual Native english speaker.
You NEED to get abroad. Not into a developed country? Join date Aug 2012?
Are You asking where Interpol can’t reach You?
Meh, there’s plenty of reasons someone might want / need to escape somewhere else other than criminal ones. Bad breakup / debt / family abuse / or just to do something different and escape the current US job climate.
Yeah. Try living in India. Where there is strike every week, corrupt government, no electricity, Negative people, no jobs, overpopulated.. I don’t have time to go on saying these things. And i know its hard to find a job in developed nations. By comparing the society 3/4 of the world is a lot better than my current situation.
Why would a National Park need a CS grad?
You should be able to find computer work in South Africa, we have some sort of trade exchange agreement with India that might make getting a work permit easier. How’s your Python?
Aside from countries looking for english teachers or other needed skills, and even then you need to have a job lined up with a local company first.
Immigration is usually just as harsh as the US or any other first world country, the idea that there are countries you can just roll up and reside and work in is a total myth.
I hear Costa Rica has a big problem with illegal immigrants from the USA, must have some reason for that check them out.
grude is right. It’s taken me about three months to get my work visa for Angola. I’m nearly there.
Developing countries don’t want you adding one more body to their list of people to support. So you’ll find immigration laws, work permits and so on vastly more restrictive than the US.
Your options are limited exclusively to finding a job with a firm which has a presence in the country already, and then getting that firm to help you get the necessary paperwork. However, considering how you dissed India, I think it’s unlikely this is going to work out for you.
Am I misreading the OP, or is he IN India right now and looking to move elsewhere?
Even in these tough economic climes the Cayman Islands still employ huge numbers of expats at first world wages. Might be too developed for your liking.
Several Middle East countries also have a significant expat workforce. Check out Kuwait, UAE, or Saudi. Someone has to keep the computers going for all those oil companies.
I think you’re quite right about this. What’s more, I’m betting the lad IS Indian. Not one of the more optimistic of our citizens I see.
If he is Indian, there’s more bad news…the Indians who preceded him 150 years ago when the British were colonizing Africa already took–or created–all the good jobs.
That’s a bunch of developing countries to strike off the list right there (including Uganda, of course).
There weren’t a whole lot of comp sci. jobs 150 years ago.
I was gonna recommend Angola as well. Most stuff should be cheap there, except housing. That’s always a problem in a boomtown.
Yes, I am from IND. Has anybody ever heard of any Government discriminating or denying people jobs on the basis of caste?. Its not a myth. Here they give jobs to people based on their caste. They have reservations for the lower caste people who they call “backwards” even though some of them have 2 vehicles and free tax (these are the things that is only for wealthy people here, unlike US). The funny thing is that even in medicine field and engineering field, government is pushing non eligible people by kicking out the smart ones just because they (former) are from lower caste. Even getting high scores in tests, you will have to see the ones who barely passed the test overtaking you to the positions. This is happening against UN’s policy that “caste system is denial of human rights”. That and a hundred other things make this country hard to live.
Personally, I think this is exaggerating the difficulty. To be official and on the books, it’s a pain in the ass. To go there, make money, and stay off the radar, not that bad. I lived in Hungary in the late 90s, early 00s. I was official for 2 years, then went freelance, and had no problems off the grid. During that time, I’ve seen many expats come and find their economic place in the country without being official Hungarian residents. And I still know many people who live there who are working in the country, but not “officially,” (which, having been through it, is a pain in the ass process.) It’s not anywhere near that difficult, if you don’t care about going through official channels.
Under the table computer science jobs?!
It probably depends on the country too, I know under the table jobs were plentiful in the USA.(so plentiful even citizens work some!)
If you’re looking to get out of India, why are you taking the developed world off the table? You’ll find a lot more market of computer science skills in North America and Europe than you will in Africa.
I think Iggy gave the best recommendation: look for a job in Saudi Arabia or one of the other Gulf countries.
Its hard to get a job in any developed countries. I have done some data collection and research. Also there is large competition going on. I just want to know whether there are any countries with shortage of resources. Also I like Africa very much. Not just any computer job but any general job a person can do.
