Which click-bait on SDMB's pages bugs you most?

I’m assuming I’m not the only one to get from four to eight of those come-on ads/stories that somebody wants you to click on for more “information.”

Some of them have been in rotation for months (if not longer) and some of them are truly creepy and otherwise weird.

These days I’m really torn between the loathing for Andre the Giant and the titillation(sic) of the gal in the bikini by the pool.

Which of these things bothers you the most? Do you even have to see them or have you reached a level where you don’t have to see them?

Enquiring minds want to know!

ETA: Just now it’s four things drawing attention to mammary glands!

I use adblock

I don’t mind ads, I just don’t like the really bizarre, disturbing, distracting ones I get here when I turn off asblock

I’ve had adblock for a long time before I ever discovered this site. I didn’t even know it had ads. And yeah, I know there are debates about the ethics/morals of using these on sites that rely on the ads to finance the site.

Me too. I’m shocked when I log in to The Dope at the library or something and see all the ads.

My car pool mate was telling me just tonight how he abhors ads on Youtube. I told him that I NEVER see ads on Youtube with Adblock Plus. He was dumbfounded.

Look, even when and if I see ads I NEVER click on any, ever, at all. So whether I have Adblock or not it does not make any difference to any site I’m visiting. I never, ever click on any ads and I don’t for the life of me know why anyone would.

Adblock Plus FTW.

I got a giant one a while ago that had a “sexy” CGI-ish Asian woman posed provocatively with the caption “How about some Chinese tonight?”. doesn’t cut it - that’s old-rollyeyes levels of stupid.

If they sold something legitimate or useful, I might reconsider. I mean, why not contract with Amazon or Best Buy or some other well-known retailer, instead of the warmed-over bogus horsehockey that we actually do get?
