She was hot even before–a fashion model, I’ll remind you. 'Sides, the beauty of any character is ultimately dependent on the skill of the artists and their desire to present her as beautiful.
But Psylocke was also vaguely–shall we say–inappropriate. Am I the only one who remembers that she had a serious liking for Doug Ramsey? He saw her naked at least once (okay, the nakedness wasn’t her doing, but she didn’t object until others came on the scene) and she had a few interesting thoughts about him.
Not that she dared do anything. She knew that Kitty Pryde was in at least one way very like Sam Gamgee.
Also, how can no one have mentioned theBlack Canary?
But my favourite has always been Laureline the time-travelling agent. http://dugueta.club.fr/images_laureline.htm
Not only charming, but the brains behind the Valérian / Laureline team.
Most comics artists only know how to draw one female body and one female face. The last time there was a Badger comic, the artist was so embarrasing in this regard that I actually had to ask “Was that supposed to be Daisy or Mavis?” (For those unamiliar with the series, the two characters are very dissimilar-looking. Mavis, the Badger’s wife, is Asian and model-pretty, like Ziyi Zhang, while Daisy is plain and very much like Peggy Hill, with smaller breasts).
Among the Love and Rockets casts, I’d go with Pipa as the standout babe (think Eva Longoria), with Tonantzin as a close second among Beto’s women. For Jaime’s cast, Penny Century is in a class by herself, though Terry Down is sexy in an icy sort of way.
The men that women in the Marvel U. find most irresistable are Namor, Tony Stark and Hercules. Among the women, I’d guess Black Widow and Clea. Wasp and M are sort of the Paris Hilton celebutantes, and She-Hulk is sort of a fetish item. Squirrel Girl is oddly fetching.
In the DCU, Power Girl and Catwoman. My personal favorite is Triad/Triplicate Girl, but that’s not purely on looks.
