Which do you like better out of a Big Mac or Whopper?

The Whopper. I like the flame broiled taste and I like that it has mayo and tomato on it.

So what? It’s the individual taste of mayo I dislike on a burger, not the ingredients themselves.

Special orders seem to defeat the purpose of the OP.

Of those two, I like the Whopper better. I get them both plain, and prefer the taste of the Whopper. However, I like the Quarter Pounder with Cheese better than both of them.

My opinion is the mirror image of yours. Of course neither is as good as a proper hamburger. While the Whopper tries to be one, the Big Mac is so different from a proper hamburger that it’s not really fair to compare it to something cooked on a campfire or barbecue. The Big Mac is its own category, measured by its own yardstick. And it’s pretty good by that standard.

Big Mac by far. Not even a contest. I loathe whatever it is BK uses to make that “flame-broiled” flavor.

Not a big burger eater, but BK burgers taste as if they’ve been marinated in charcoal lighter fluid. Yuck. So I’m going with the Big Mac as well.

Mmmmm, alternating layers of sugar and fat. Love the sauce. Haven’t had one in years, though.

The Whopper is a huge, flavorless lettuce sandwich on a peculiarly textured bun.
The Big Mac has the sauce, which I don’t especially like, but otherwise tastes like any of their burgers…not great but not offensive either. Kind of like cafeteria burgers from when I was in high school.
Of the two, I will go with the Big Mac. Worst comes to worst, I can scrape off the sauce. Nothing, really, to be done about the Whopper.

Didn’t vote, not even option 3, because it’s been so long since I had either that I don’t remember which I liked better. These days it’s Hardee’s.

A junior Whopper. The junior Whopper is much tastier than a full size Whopper. It’s my favorite fast food item ever, I would eat two a day if I could. I loathe hamburger in any form, gourmet, fast food, or home cooked - but I do love me a junior Whopper.

“Regular” McDonald’s patties are tiny, and that extra bread in the middle ain’t helping them seem bigger. The bread/filling proportions are way off. There are so much better options on the menu I don’t even consider getting a Big Mac.

The Whopper OTOH also has too little meat, but I get a second patty put on it. I don’t go to Burger King but maybe once a decade, anyways.

I’m pretty surprised to see the Whopper winning this one, based on McDonalds’ market superiority.

Big Mac for me.

Big Mac but, as pointed out, the competing product to the Whopper is the Quarter Pounder. Between those two, I might take the Whopper.

Meanwhile, Burger King now has the “Big King”, which is attempting to compete directly against the Big Mac. I suspect it’s doomed to failure: If someone wants a Big Mac, they’re going to go to McDonald’s.

And you know what they call a Quarter Pounder with Cheese in Paris?

I think the Whopper is better.

But rarely do I eat just a burger. Fries are a mandatory requirement. And McDonald’s fries are superior. They are so much better than BK’s fries that they offset the Big Mac’s subtle inferiority.

Whopper for me. I just don’t like McDs meat. It tastes like a fairly good fake-meat burger. But there is no excusing that when it’s real beef, I don’t know how and why they do that.

Same here.

And sweet relish, which has no business being on a burger.

I not sure sweet pickle relish belongs on anything.
Except pastrami.
