Which Doper did it? : The Game

As is mine - #77.

Clue: The investigators had to hurry and follow the trail of orange crumbs before the mice ate all of them…

Are all these clues part of the same big investigation? Do they all tie together somehow? I thought each one was a separate case to be solved. Okay, so the case isn’t cracked yet, it’s just a few more pieces of the puzzle.

congodwarf, is it My Darn Snake Legs?

Clue (roger thornhill): It was either a chocoholic or an alien. Forensics will confirm. Either way, it was certainly female.

Clue (Scott_plaid): The suspect was seen to be leaving in a late model peasant style hut, propelled by giant chicken legs.

Clue (monstre): The detective, inspecting the crime scene, suddenly realized that it was staged – no crime had actually occurred at all.

Clue (silenus): From the mutilated pictures of Steven Spielberg and torn one-sheets scattered about the crime scene, police could only conclude that the perpetrator deeply regretted having seen “Saving Private Ryan.”

Clue (congodward): Another suspect was taken into custody after the police found a used razor covered with scales in the victim’s shower.
A suggestion: If your clue isn’t answered after a reasonable time (say 24 hours), please post a hint or an answer.

You got it!

Is roger thornhill’s Lynn Bodoni?

Immediately following the murder, witnesses report hearing several loud blasts from a brass wind instrument.

and…

Chief Police Officer Ed Zotti said of the crime, “We’ll find the man who did this. It’s only a matter of time.”

Could this be TubaDiva?

Oh yeah, post 29. I actually answered it at the same time, by putting the answer in white below the question, so that it could be highlighted to read it, if I wasn’t around to answer. I am doing the same thing here. Highlight the line below, or click on the link.

J’accuse Chronos!

Clue: The only evidence is a note that says, “I killed him becuase he kept misspelling words.”

Clue: The victim, although wearing armor, appears to have been bludgeoned with an 18" Double Headed Icy Blue Jelly Dong   .

Further clue: A more thorough search of the scene revealed that it had definitely been staged to look like a capital crime

It is indeed

Clue: It was either a chocoholic or an alien. Forensics will confirm. Either way, it was certainly female.

Additional Clue: She was a kind of Forrest, but certainly no Gump.

That would be The Devil’s Grandmother (a reference to the classic Russian Baba Yaga legend).

Yes!

The ransom note is addressed to “You, Tarzan”

I’ve never heard that connection between the legend and the username - I was racking my brain trying to think if I’d ever heard of a user named Baba Yaga

Clue: there were witness reports of a panhandler in the area around the time of the crime, but he refused donations as often as not. It seemed he was quite picky as to what he would accept.

Got one at last (as if anyone couldn’t get this one!): me jane

Clue: She’s alive. Or should that be, a life?

choosybeggar

Am I hot? Or am I hot?

Clue: Apparently he died of his own hand, emulating his Greek philosophic hero.

Spectre of Pithecanthropus? I had to look it up to spell it.

No - the victim might have worked in a pharmacy.

Gaudere?

Gaudere is correct.
Hillbilly Queen was the correctly guessed for a clue I posted earlier.
