Which Is Worse: Biting Your Lip, Tongue, or Cheek?

I’d have to say biting the tongue. It seems like it hurts more and is a lot easier to re-bite.

Yes, the tongue. It’s the most sensitive, plus, if you are prone to canker sores as I am, you are likely to get a painful souvenir on that site as well.

Oh I say inside of cheek is the worst. Once you bite it, you keep doing it again and again over the course of the next day or so. and you play with flaps of skin if you’re lucky enough to have bitten hard enough, lol. What really sux is not remembering that you have an open wound and you really need to watch what you eat or drink afterwards. Lot’s of things burn esp orange juice, mouthwash and booze!

I bite all 3 of them on a semi-regular basis - I must have a very poorly-aligned bite (or else I’m chewing wrong?).

I think the tongue wins. Especially when you chomp down hard on that sucker with a molar. Ow!

I say the inside of your cheek…one bite swells it up so you can’t miss it every time you close your mouth. If you bite your tongue, you can at least move your tongue out of the way of the incoming molars.

But they all bite! (forgive the pun)
