I like the shoe because you can pick it up by the little loop at the back and swing it…in such a way as to kick the other pieces off the board as I go by.
The Hat. Always.
And in any game where the choice is available, I pick yellow. (“Man”, Token, Croquet Mallet, etc.)
I had to wait 17 years to be the biggest person in the house so I could have the car when I wanted it.
I also am a fan of the train.
No one else loves the Money or the Choo-choo?
=(
Two of the most solid stable pieces out there…
The horse because it’s easiest to pick up and move.
The car, of course. You push it and it drives around the board, just like a car would. A dog - fuck no, you’d have to bounce that piece every time you moved, so that it would walk. A cannon? What’s pulling it? Huh? No moter in a cannon! Gotta be the car. The ship comes in second, but only if the board is water.
Horse statues don’t fucking move!
clearly, monopoly is important to me.
Fellow cannonite! I like it because its easy to maneuver around.
I’m all about the iron. I don’t like to fight, and think it’s hip and edgy to choose something so uncool.
In the regular edition, I take the car, cuz I like to make the vroom-vroom noises. I also have an Iditarod edition and like the bush plane.
I can’t believe the shoe isn’t more popular. When I was a kid there was always a tussle between my siblings and I for it.
The Battleship, because it’s the most interesting, and not as cliched as the car (though I do agree with the car concept described by Small Hen above).
We may have a problem, the 35 people who have to choose another piece…
If I can’t be the car, I SHAN’T PARTICIPATE..
Sorry, total tangent, but…I wonder why no one ever wants to play Monopoly with me?
My set’s so old it doesn’t have all those different pieces, just different coloured cones.
My board is the deluxe edition, with the train. I always pick it because it’s relatively rare in the Monopoly world and it’s pretty fun.
If the train is not available, I’ll probably pick the hat.
The battleship, with the cannon coming in a VERY close second.
I always used to imagine I was blasting the other players when I was a kid… actually who am I kidding? I still imagine that.
The dog cause I can tilt him to one side and have him pee on my opponent’s hotels when I land on them.
You remind me of my brother. He used to knock over the board if anyone else landed on Boardwalk first.
The Hat. I’m just mad about hats.
Anybody else remember these tokens? The tall white one was the most sought after in our house.
I have a number of complete sets of these. I also have about 450 other Monopoly tokens to go along with the 80 or so games I have collected. I’m not going to vote, I have a custom painted 57 Chevy token I use when I play.
