Which serial should I watch next?

One of my podcasts is old (presumably public domain) movies and serials. If I’m on a serial, I watch one episode per day during lunch. Just got done with Dick Tracy (aka “Dick Tracy vs The Spider”). My choices are currently:

Burn 'Em Up Barnes: “Dirt track racer king “Burn 'Em Up” Barnes risk life and limb to help the beautiful Marjorie Temple from losing her small bus line to unscrupulous oil men who’ve secretly discovered oil on her land in this 12 Part Mascot Serial.”

The Adventures of Smilin’ Jack: “American Flyer Smilin’ Jack Martin, works with Chinese government to stop the Black Samurai, a Japanese covert spy ring, lead by the German operative Fraulein von Teufel.”

The Phantom Empire: “Cowboy singer Gene Autry stumbles upon the civilization, now buried beneath his own Radio Ranch in this 12 Part Mascot serial.”

Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe: “Dale, and Zarkov return to Planet Mongo to find an antidote for the Purple Death.”

I’m leaning away from Flash and Phantom Empire because I’ve seen parts of them before. Smilin’ Jack is sounding best right now but I can be persuaded.

I have a chapter of Undersea Kingdom to tide (heh) me over until Tuesday, so vote early and often.

OOOH!

Phantom Empire! A.K.A. Radio Ranch!

Cowboys, robots & rayguns.

It makes no sense whatsoever, but is mad fun!

Alternatively, look for the old Captain Marvel or Captain America serials.

It’s hard to pick just one, but I guess I’ll vote for Smilin’ Jack. But you have to tell us where you got this podcast.

I’m gonna say Cheerios.

I mean, you got the classic, apple and cinammon, honey nut, multi-grain, that fruit and yogurt one, and frosted.

Well, I don’t have to pick just one, just one to watch next. It’s called Archive Classic Movies and I have it through iTunes but here it is.

I’m desperately hoping that the Captain Marvel will turn up soon but nothing new’s been released for a while. I rented it on VHS years ago but it was a three-day rental and I just couldn’t get through all the episodes in that timeframe and never re-rented it. I’m also hoping that the other Flash Gordons and the Batmans will turn up.
