Only preference when putting on shoes is ‘pants first’
I’m right-footed–and right-handed–and always put my left shoe on first. It’s also the first one I take off. If I do it any other way it feels wrong.
Oh! And thanks, Twickster.
The right, I suppose, since it seems more natural to balance on the left one.
The left, I imagine, since I’ll be kicking with the right.
Thanks for the tests, but it still leaves me wondering which “footedness” I’m stuck with.
I jump into midair, put on my pants (both legs simultaneously) and then my shoes in the same manner.
Oh, I also do a back flip and after landing hold my arms in the air and shout, “Ta Da!”.
I promise it exists. Height jumping as a righty I failed; the teacher moved several of us to the lefty side and I got a freaking 10! The difference was some 40-60cm for all of us she declared “right handed but left footed”. Through the years I’ve realized I’m a righty for anything requiring manual dexterity but a lefty for things requiring hand-eye coordination, aim or strength (kind of explains why I suck at sewing, which requires coordination and dexterity).
I tend to put the left one on first, but it depends on such issues as whether they’ve crawled under the bed… shoey shoey shoey, here shoey…
