Any particular reason why?
And can somebody tell me if that means it’s your dominant foot?

Dress shoes, left first. Sandals, left first. Sneakers, right first.
I’m right footed.
Same for me, but left first in all cases. Also right-footed.
Left. And I’m right-footed. Beats me why I would do that, but I’m pretty sure I always have.
Whichever one I pick up first.
I tend to put on the left first. I think it’s because my right leg is stronger and more stable, so I’ll stand on my bare right foot and put the left shoe on, then I’m more stable on the left leg with a shoe on to put on the right.
Now after thinking about this, I realize I take my left shoe off first also, so it’s going to have the opposite effect that way. But I’m probably sitting down most of the time when I take my shoes off so it wouldn’t matter. I’m almost always standing when I put them on.
I don’t know.
THIRD BASE!!!
Ditto. I had no idea this was a thing.
Right shoe first. I don’t know why.
Since this is a poll, I’ll move it to IMHO, home of polls.
How can you tell if you’re left footed or right footed? I can’t tell much of a difference in dexterity between them…
Whichever I find first. I usually have a pair under my desk and the rest in a pile at the bottom of the closet.
I dream of the day when my shoes have a home where they can live together in matched pairs the way Mahnalo intended.
If a soccer ball comes your way, which foot are you more likely to kick it with?
Can you balance on one better than the other?
Right shoe always, right handed - I’ll put the left one down if I happen to pick that one up first my mistake. I’ve noticed my 2 year old always puts on her left first, but shes right handed too, so don’t think it’s about dominance but I could be wrong.
I kick with my right and start steps with my right too, but surf/snowboard goofy (right forward) which is not the regular way.
X2! Mine is due to superstition. I always LOOK for the right shoe to put on first.
I think I do the same thing, or rather the mirror image. My left foot is dominant and I usually put my right shoe on first and also take it off first.
Never paid any attention to this, nor have I heard of the idea of a “dominant foot.” I have noticed that I tend to “lead off” with one foot when runing onto or off of a curb, up or down steps, and the like. I’ve always kind of wondered about it and vaguely considered trying to fight the tendency in the interests of stressing both legs equally, but never actually gotten to the point of doing anything about it…
Always the left, for every form of footwear. To do otherwise is just…wrong.
Like others have said, whichever one I reach first. As for dominant foot, that’d be my left.
Whichever is closest.
