All five. And Entenmann’s.
I’ve been in boards that allow non-OPs to add choices. Entenmann, yeah…but do they make individual size? I guess I should have added Dolly Madison, which Wikipedia says was bought by Hostess.
Yeah – doughnuts, mini=muffins, minis, &c.
Never heard of Mrs. Freshley’s. Where can you find them?
Vachon is the best, naturally.
Usually convenience stores, dollar stores and some vending machines. They’re pretty much a cheap knock-off company.
They’re based in Georgia.
I always wondered which brands might be very regional.
Here’s another article that may interest…looks like Mrs. F is a newcomer (1994?) that didn’t make the list.
I was looking for Dolly Madison on the list too. I thought they had better fruit pies than Hostess.
And these…
The only thing I’ll confess to are those little bitty donuts…the ones with powdered sugar. Those things tasteclike a chemistry set, but that white powdered sugar gives an istant sugar high when it hits the roof of your mouth!
Yes, I know they are called crack donuts.

Hostess and Little Debbie. Never heard of the others. But I’ll add BeeBo.
All of them - but the only one that matters is Tastykake. I just got back from the east coast on Sunday and already my first box of Butterscotch Krimpets is gone
Tastykakes are to die for … the peanut butter tandycakes and butterscotch krimpets ruled in my house when I was growing up. They are only available in the mid-Atlantic region, if I’m not mistaken. But I think Amazon will send them to you.
Hostess makes Twinkies and Zingers? I always thought these were two equivalent products sold by rival companies. Like Coke and Pepsi.
Yeah, at some point Dolly Madison (maker of Zingers) was acquired by Hostess, which seems to me exactly like Pepsi being acquired by Coke.
Okay, so they were made by rival companies in the past. I feel better than I’m not completely off track on this.
In my youth, I loved TastyKakes. But sometime between the 60s and my adulthood, they changed the recipes, and they’re just not that special. Really, I don’t see any difference between them and any other mass-produced baked snack. Gives me a sad…
You rotten people! I just looked up TASTYKAKES on Amazon, and my blood sugar blasted into orbit. Just from LOOKING.
