Now that we have Private Messages, I’m wondering whether the mods and admins prefer to be contacted that way, or by email.
I think the preference is probably still e-mail. Believe it or not, the mods do have lives, or at least a fair facsimile of one, and they’re not always on the board (and thus wouldn’t notice that they have a PM). But most of them are on a computer doing something or another fairly often, and so will get an e-mail. So if you need to get a mod’s attention quickly, e-mail (ideally to several at once) is probably the best way to do it. And reporting a post is probably the quickest way to e-mail them.
But of course, IANAMAM.

I thought they signed an lifetime indenture contract!
I don’t care; either way works. I am not yet, though, in the habit of checking for new private messages, and it might be days before I noticed it.
