Has anyone seen The New Logo from White Castle?
Can I ask how turning the “White Castle” half brown is going to do anything for them?
Does someone really get paid to come up with an idea like that??

This is a reflection of the changing face of the USA. The “browning” of America needs to be reflected in the “browning” of the logo. An all-white logo can be construed to be exclusionary, and it is important to try to capture any market share available in the cut-throat world of fast fooderies.
That, or someone just decided it was time for a change.
Ooooo… the castle has entered the third dimension.
**
Earl Snake-Hips Tucker**, it looks more orange than brown to me. As a member of this nation’s red-haired minority, I wholeheartedly welcome White Castle’s efforts to extend a gesture of welcome to me.
Gee, I thought it was the exact same color as the mixed ketchup and mustard they put on stuff. I had no idea it was so political.
At least it doesn’t incorporate a dynamic, forward-thinking swoosh.
No logo change in the world is gonna make those greaseballs that they serve sit any more comfortably in your gullet.
The little splash of color is nice, methinks. Orange and blue are a good color combo. Thumbs up.
I always liked the Yellow Castle Lego myself.
I thought the new splash of color was supposed to be “yellow like cheese”…Timmy
p.s. - hey, that’s a good name for an album!
Does this mean they’re going to have to change their name to “Interracial Castle”?
(Or, considering the color scheme, “50-50 Ice Cream Bar Castle”?)
Definitely looks orange to me. And 3D! Does somebody get paid to think stuff like that up? Yes. Did somebody get paid to build that poor little castle in 3DSMax? Probably.
What, are you saying the graphic designer who came up with the idea SHOULDN’T get paid for that? Yeah, it’s a bloody simple change, but most graphic designs ARE simple. I think the redesign is effective and updates the logo without altering its familiarality. You just can’t mess with the logo too much, or people won’t recognize it. The graphic designer is working within rather stringent creative boundaries in the redesign. The result is elegant, pleasing to the eye, crisp and clean. It’s well-thought out, and the resulting web design takes its cue from the logo and continues the orange-blue scheme and clean graphic layout.
I’m not a graphic designer, but I hate people who imply that because the redesign looks “simple” that they could have come up with the idea themselves and can’t believe that some company would actually shell out $$$ to pay for it. The best designs tend to be minimalistic and neat.
Who cares about the logo?
All I know is those little morsels of joy have been snatched from my Kansas City paws:(. They shut down all the restaurants here.
I think there’s a a parity of gastric distress being offered that transcends any racial, ethnic, religious or sexual division.
They are as close as one can get to the food of the gods. All the White Castle’s have closed in my area as well. The frozen stuff in the supermarket are BOGUS.
Just reading this thread has made my mouth water. Maybe my brother will lend me his car, and I can go pig out this weekend. Gotta’ remember to watch them carefully as they box them, some places actually put ketchup on them without asking. YUCCCCKKK! May they continue to slide for years to come.
It hurts, it hurts, oh god, it hurts…
White Castle “hamburgers” (which I’ve been told are actually more akin to a flattened hole-punched meatball in a bun) are one of those things you either love to pieces or hate with furious intensity. There is no middle ground.
For me, I’m afraid I come down on the “hate 'em” side of the fence. One of their central ingredients is onions, and as far as I’m concerned, onions are the work of Satan. Bleah. They’re like solidified sweat, only without any of solidified sweat’s redeeming qualities.
It was always better known as White Sewer-maybe the brown has more of an undrground ,dirty look.
