I’m off the week before the deadline and will be at home, cleaning out the basement, among other parts of the house. I expect to have an interesting collection for my box.
Finally got off my lazy ass and sent my email. Phew!
I’ve got loads and loads of goodies, thanks to cleaning out my father’s estate last year. Guaranteed to have nifty piles of junky goodness waiting on your doorstep! I mean, Treasures Of The Universe!
Can I be a one-way participant? As wonderful as your boxes of stuff will surely be, I simply don’t have room for it. My SO would kill me (if I didn’t manage to off myself first) if I accepted one more item into our teeny-tiny apartment. But oh boy do I have stuff I could send.
in the past I’ve tried to arrange people so they’re not shipping over too many states, but I think it might not actually make a difference - is that true?

I think I have mentioned it before but here are a few USPS Flat Rate (FRB) shipping rates:
FRB1 - 11" X 8.5" X 5.5" $9.80 Domestic / no weight limit, $23.95 to Canada and Mexico- $38.95 to all other countries, 20 lb weight limit applies to international shipping
FRB2 - 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" x 13-5/8" - $9.80 Domestic / no weight limit, $23.95 to Canada and Mexico- $38.95 to all other countries, 20 lb weight limit applies to international shipping.
Large FRB - 12” x 12” x 5-1/2” $12.95 Domestic / no weight limit, $29.95 to Canada and Mexico- $49.95 to all other countries, 20 lb weight limit applies to international shipping.
If you’re shipping something somewhat heavy like a brass thing-a-ma-bob or some books and they will fit into one of these boxes it is definately going to be less expensive to send them this way. For example, I recently received 8 books that shipped USPS domestic for $13. They would have all fit in a FRB1 box and shipped for $9.80 with room to spare. Ok, saving $3.20 may not get you a gallon of gas, but it’s still $3.20. If you are mailing something quite light or something that does not fit in one of these boxes then shop around for the best bargain.

You’ll just have to send a lot and hope you send more than you get.
Here’s the updated list. One person has droped out due to lack of crap to send. Another person has responded but provided no screen name. If you’re not on this list and you’re not one of the people above I don’t have your info:
