I don’t just feel superior, nossir. I am superior. Because I am judging someone for their intentions and their actions, not their color. I am judging him for what he does, not for who his mama did.
It’s my humble, unsupported opinion that his actions in ND are using race as a background but are primarily aimed at converting his money to power over a community of people. He wants to be in charge of stuff. In which case, I’m hoping this revelation will take enough of the wind out of those sails, discourage enough potential supporters, so that his project fails. Because if he succeeds, it will be ugly (and not only from a racial point of view).

In no way did I say that the ‘badness’ of what happened on the talk show is equivalent to the ‘badness’ of this guy’s deeds.
Being uncomfortable with inviting a guy onto a show for the express purpose of ridiculing him in public is not at all the same as calling for us to “tolerate intolerance.” Bullshit yourself.
My point is that this was a total set-up, done specifically so the host/audience could, as I said before, “feel superior and let out some hate of their own,” in a publicly approved way because of course it’s so obvious that this man deserves to be hated.
Well, maybe he does deserve it, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I am wary and uncomfortable around people who justify public ridicule because it makes them feel good and the victim is so obviously wrong. There are so many other and actually effective ways to bring about change, if change is what people want. Resorting to being an ass to someone because you can get away with it is not an admirable action.
There’s a saying that you can’t reason people out of opinions they didn’t reason themselves into. It’s not impossible this guy will change his views on race one day, but reasoning won’t do it. People like this should be ridiculed and mocked because if you just pat them on the head and ignore them, they will take full advantage.

I used to have a problem with this sort of thing, too. But I then realized how big a hypocrite I was. Most of my favorite comedy is satire, which often involves publicly ridiculing people. The fact is that no one in this thread wants to change anything. The OP found something funny and is sharing it.
Public shaming is the problem, and this isn’t that. The guy will never know about this. No one intends this thread to cause him to change, let alone to hurt him. We are just people enjoying the irony of the situation.
The problem is that white supremacism exists.
When a grownup is an intentional asshole and it blows up in their face, I have no problem laughing at them. So I yet again say “Ha ha” to that nimrod. Maybe, like some of the other bigots mentioned in this thread, it’ll be a learning moment for him and perhaps result in a positive attitude adjustment.
As far as public shaming goes, IMHO this guy’s own actions are what publically shame him. That ancestry test just provides another example of why he’s a goon.
