There is no obligation to say nice things about a recently deceased celebrity in an RIP thread, but posting just to say “why do you care” can be considered threadshitting, which is against the rules.
I suggest that those who are not fans of Ms. Whitney consider whether they need to post or not, and strongly encourage those who don’t care that she died not post at all.
