Jawdropping.
Good on Argent for apologizing. In the post-Twitter world, you have to wonder which celebrity will have to issue retractions for their insensitive comments…
Also, been watching CNN and she was found in the Beverly Hills Hilton in her room on the fourth floor around 4 pm L.A. time.
Why does everyone keep blaming Bobby Brown for her death? She was old enough to make her OWN bad choices. Do people still blame Mary Kate Olsen for Heath Ledger’s death?
God I hate that Bodyguard song. Now its gonna be EVERYWHERE again…
Damn. Not Whitney. I know people like to blame Whitney for the overly melismatic trend in pop/r&b but I think all that can be traced solely to IWALY. Listen to her SSB rendition at the 1991 Superbowl.
I have absolutely no idea what that means, but I’m fascinated.
Ledger died of a prescription drug overdose in a home owned by his friend Mary Kate Olsen. (I don’t know if more was meant than that.)
My fucking room mate is playing it right now.
The apartment he died in was reported to be owned by Ms. Olsen. (It wasn’t hers.)
Houston was a superb singer whose work I didn’t particularly care for. She is not the first (nor will she be the last) talented artist who succumbs to their personal demons.
Al Sharpton is being interviewed on CNN. Apologies for any hijack or any offense, but
**
WHY DOES THE MEDIA THINK THAT EVERYTHING THAT AFFECTS A BLACK PERSON NEEDS A COMMENT BY AL SHARPTON!!!**
It may completely untrue but there seems to be a perception that she was an innocent untill she hooked up with Bobby and he corrupted her.
Oh, OK.
I don’t see much wrong with Argent Towers comment. This isn’t a thread titled The Late Whitney Houston Appreciation Thread. Not a lot of content to his post, though, don’t know why he bothered to post it.
Bobby Brown: Hillew! That Shit Is Poison.
IWALY: That would be Dolly Parton’s songwriting licks there.
I agree. It should be Jesse Jackson.
Whitney should have never gotten down
with Bobby Brown. [/Darrell Hammond]
A hundred bucks said she died of a drug overdose. People don’t often die that young, and she had a history.
In any event, she had one of the greatest voices I ever heard. And then she met Bobby Brown and that was that.
What a shame.
If Al and the Rev both die in the same car crash who will speak on their behalf?
Nearly 80 posts in two hours on a Saturday night (for most of us).
Yep prediction looks solid.
