Who are our current "Abe Vigodas"? (people you might be surprised to learn are still alive)

Kingsley was in the third Iron Man movie, and he was great in it.

And he just reprised the heck out of that role in Wonder Man.

And in Shang-Chi.

“You can see Morris? Oh, Morris, you’re real. This is such happy news.”

Another thread just made me think of Julie Newmar, still alive at 92 from what I can find.

Hungarian composer György Kurtág turned 100 last week.

Morgan Freeman is 88.

Older than we might think, but he’s not an Abe Vigoda. People know Freeman is alive.

I can add Neil Sedaka to the list of people I didn’t realize were still alive until I heard they had died.

I was just about to say the same.

Bill Daniels still kicking at 99. Mr. Feeney on Boy Meets World and the voice of KITT on Knight Rider.

Redford’s gone. Beatty’s still around. Jane Fonda and Faye Dunaway are still among the living. I’m rather pleasantly surprised that Shatner and Eastwood are still alive and kicking. The other night I saw a piece on Youtube featuring Shirley MacLaine, and as her death wasn’t announced I don’t think it was a “legacy” piece. I was amazed that she outlived not only June Lockhart, but Claude Jarman, Jr.

The Shat and Clint aside, it seems that the Vigodas of today are mostly old gals.

And Beatty and MacLaine are brother and sister.

Yeah, I knew that but it just struck me as too obvious to be worth mentioning (no, I don’t mean that disrespectively; to you, I mean; or Warren and/or Shirley).

Not too surprising, since in the U.S. women live on average to 81.1 and men lived on average to 75.8.

Also Wynn Quantrill in the immortal film The President’s Analyst. His voice, scolding his son, is indelible:

Glad to see him still here and (evidently) enjoying life!

I learned today that Dick Cavett is still alive, and he’ll be 90 in November.

The creative minds behind the Sgt. Pepper’s cover, the pop-art duo of Peter Blake and Jann Haworth are alive and respectively 93 and 84.

Of the images on the cover the following are still with us:
Paul McCartney (83)
Ringo Starr (85)
Bob Dylan (84)
Dion DiMucci (86)
Larry Bell (artist) (87)

Actor Tom Skerrit is still with us at 92.

Actress Claire Bloom recently turned 95.

Update:

At seven decades, their partnership has lasted longer than Rodgers and Hammerstein, Lerner and Loewe, Kander and Ebb, and Bock and Harnick.
